Doesn't matter how much work went into something. Some people still can't afford it. If the 777 came out within the next two months, I wouldn't be able to buy it because its too expensive for my situation. I just moved for a CFI job in Dallas and the 80 or so bucks would break my bank.....no matter how much work went into it. It sucks but it's a fact of life.

Look at it the bright side, you'll prob make more as a CFI now than you will if/when you start at a regional airline later. LOL

As Matthew pointed out a few posts above, it's just too expensive for a college student. The price is indeed fair for it's quality, but some people just can't afford it.

I'm still using a 2-year-old smartphone (not for too long) and a pre-historic computer, and none of them is from iBrand. Maybe that answers your question  :wink:

You can't really compare buying the NGX/T7 to buying an iPhone/Ipad. Just because someone says it's expensive doesn't mean it in a negative way to the PMDG team.

Also @@EGLL77W I have a funny feeling we might be getting a preview tomorrow...I think it's mothers day in the USA someone on the PMDG team joked if it would be ready to buy it then.

I know without a doubt in your mind that during your last term you were ALWAYS being careful and you were over the legal drinking age!......rriigghhtt? Hahaha college was a blast.

I went and saw Iron man 3 the other day. Movie, popcorn and a drink was about $30.

 

3 movies = a 777.

 

3 movies = about 6 or 7 hours.

 

Which is about as long as one single Atlantic crossing from KBOS - EGLL, not including the flight planning.

 

Vatsim's Cross the Pond is easily 7 or 8 hours worth of unimaginable fun. So I'll just not go to 3 movie screenings I'd like to see between now and October and I'll have paid off a 777 in time for Cross the Pond and WorldFlight.

thanks for the welcome!!!! I grew up in Houston then moved to San Antonio for school and now I'm here lol. My fiancé's parents live around the frisco area and I have been here since march to get my CFII and CFI done. That being said, I'm used to the heat but I do not like the cold that you guys get. Lol

I originally from Ohio so it never really get cold here. I have noticed that my blood must be thinning though, because anything colder than 40 now makes me think it's cold.

I heard they will apply a discount for seniors an college students just like ORBX have done
