AirdailyX billboard expecting the PMDG 777 to be released in May!

So that's like driving Captain Sim cars :P

Lololol!

My boss has had three different "CS cars" within 5 years ("The graphics are so stunning!") - I'd stick to a single "medium-system-depth" car during that period - without any issues at all.

"It's ready when it's ready" - my boss seems rather "finished" after all these years ...

LEG2, BE60, JS41, DH8D, MD80, B738, MD11.

My fleet's humming along quite nicely.

B77L on order, Hope it's in the hangar before October (Vatsim Cross the Pond), but the MD11 can fill in for it in the meantime.

Gotta lol at non-PMDG groups 'predicting' when PMDG will release stuff that even PMDG don't know the timeframe for. Or people demanding stuff from PMDG because the product they havn't paid for yet hasn't been released.

There's plenty of other things to fly. The NGX is still amazing, and the MD11 will get you across most oceans if you need to do that.

Perhaps PMDG is waiting to find out when Luke starts school to get his ATP license from Oxford Academy, THEN it will be released

After my news today, not even sure that'll be a reality.. ))-;

Really people?

Are some of you really thinking they are entitled to updates and answers?

Try calling a car manufatorer saying:

Yeah hi..

Listen, i am going to buy your new xxxxxx.

I know you guys are working on it, so i demand updates..

How far along are you? Give me pictures or some sort of release window.

You owe your buyer's !!

Good luck with the answer..!!

The funny thing is that car manufacturers (as well as real world plane manufacturers) would be inclined to do this and actively do so for the press. They show mock ups, phases of construction, release windows, sales estimates, the full monty. Aside from that no one has been boorish enough (or so I'd hope) to use that tone. No one is demanding anything, it's a mere friendly request to add 1 detail to an otherwise excellent "sitrep" they already gave on the 5th/6th of May.

There really is no real world comparison for what PMDG is doing, and as a result, it should be handled as the unique case it is. But like I said, it's not like I'm waiting for an update; I'm having tons of fun with QW's BAe from Brussels, PMDG 737NGX from Manila, ...

I know I sound like a skipping record (or a wife that would explode if she didn't keep ######ing) but for those who need help passing the time,PMDG has a great product to help. NGX!!!! Every time I fly it I still get the goosebumps I got when I flew it for the first time.

DDon't get me wrong, my gear is fully extended (wink) in anticipation for the T7, but some seem to take for granted what is currently available. There are many great products that may infact be on your hardrive that can pascify you untill the artists that are PMDG drop their brushes and hang their latest work in the shop window. ;-)

Well it's June 1st. Looks like this prediction was written by the same people who said the world would end last December

- PMDG will release the 777 only when Robert's 95%/99%-rule is complied with...

PMDG can take as long as they want Ollie, I'm fine with that.  Rob and crew have yet to disappoint me and if the 777 is released this month or December, it is what it is.  Ok, what internet blog will be writing about a June release now that May has come and gone

I went for my normal eye check ups, after doing every test under the sun - they found my left eye pressure was a little high and optical nerve slightly different shape to other eye. Giving them suspicious signs of Eye Glacouma. She couldn't diagnose me there and then - however they've referred me to a specialist to get a second opinion. If he concurs, I'll be on eye drops for the rest of my life with a possible laser treatment later down the road. I'm more than sure that'd come in and affect my chance of getting a CAA Class 1 Medical. Once I'm fully diagnosed, I'll have to call and see what they say. But from what I read, I won't get my hopes up!

Sorry to hear that but would that affect a FAA first class medical if you are willing to fly here in the states?

I have an FAA Class 3 Medical here since I'm only getting Private. Of which I'm only a couple of lessons from my check ride! I don't believe it affects the Class 3 - it wasn't something they checked on my medical also. I could be wrong though! Still, I'll wait to find out what happens next week then start asking around if needed. Thank you!

Very sorry to hear your story Luke, passed by a similar case (eyes problem!) when I applied to the Lebanese air force years ago, well, life should go on, went to the business school, and here I am, looking at aviation from a different perspective, keeping the PPL in my bucket list (just after finishing my DBA). Keep up high hopes Luke, Wish you all the best.
