July 23, 201312 yr Well, just looking a little at Flight.com homepage.https://news.microsoftflight.com/blogs/news/archive/2013/07/19/jul-12-community-update.aspx
July 23, 201312 yr Hope is an overestimated word in this case. Regards, Saulius Baltramonaitis"If it ain't Boeing, it ain't going!"

July 23, 201312 yr This already was posted here. Nothing more than a guy who's simply supporting the current community. This. Development of Microsoft Flight is cancelled but a few people from Microsoft Studios are still posting at the official website and the Facebook page. -
July 23, 201312 yr Yep. Nothing will come out of Microsoft now for serious simmers. They are simply not willing to embrace their older business model because they are "missing out" on the revenue made from add-ons. Nothing more than a case of greed - but have heart, there are other platforms that will take us into the future. Karl Brooker
July 23, 201312 yr AFAIK they have no developers left, so there's no-one there to develop FS11/Flight2 (why would they develop flight further when it failed spectacularly?). Hiring a community liason is worlds apart, especially when they may be liason for a dozen 'not fully supported anymore' titles for all we know, it's not like saying 'nope, still no cockpits in development' is a full time job.
July 23, 201312 yr The future of the franchise is a mystery but it's certainly withstood the test of time. I can't promise the community will always like the news we share or the direction the series takes Curious comments for a series that has supposedly ended for good..... July 23, 201312 yr It's called spin. He/she knows the truth that nothing is going to happen, but has to spin things to give the public some straws to grasp at. The direction is that one day Flight will also no longer be supported and those daily Flight challenges will be stopped.
July 23, 201312 yr I can't promise the community will always like the news we share or the direction the series takes That will be when the news is Microsoft has stopped its support. Gerry Howard

Telling hapless souls for years on end that changing cloud draw distance or something should eliminate the cloud popping. Oh and the endless fixes for the wind shifts.,.... Jim, Jim, Jim. The irony here is palatable.
July 23, 201312 yr Why want a new FSX when P3D is basically the same thing? 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

July 23, 201312 yr Why want a new FSX when P3D is basically the same thing? P3D 2.0 is the most exciting thing to look forward to - DX11, hardware tessellation, stutters eliminated (according to the developers at least). Microsoft Flight was just a side track, an accident. -
