LOL, when people start nitpicking at the colour and size of the font on a PMDG options page on a virtual airline addon, I am worried about to future of both flight simulation and the world itself that we live in. :lol:

I don't know about Boeing pilots but most of the Airbus pilots have had to turn down RAAS because it always came on when there was a crucial radio call and they would miss the call, because RAAS was screaming in their ear.

Yea the Swiss crew on the ZRH-PVG route also mentioned that.

One thing I wish It did have is an endless supply of plotting charts, just landed in Monastir from Toulouse with the NGX, trying to imagine equal time points as I was crossing the med. Amazing to here that PMDG even included a RAAS system, I don't think Air Canada have it equipped on there triples though, maybe someone knows the answer to that, so, I arrived in Monastir 2 mins behind my scheduled arrival time and 400kg ahead on the fuel burn thanks to some more than favourable tail winds.

Are you allowed to tell which voice is installed? The female which can be heard on most aircrafts with RAAS or the male voice?

 

Male voice have for example Tassili Airlines 737-800, Ethiopian 777.

 

Female have Alaska, Lufthansa, Air France, Emirates, Egypt Air, turkish Airlines (US units), and others.

 

I don`t hope it`s the same voice like in the FS2Crew addon.

 

Will be there also text messages on the Nav Display (EHSI)? Like "Unstable Unstable" "Too Fast" Too High ect.

It's great that RAAS is an option, but how come I can't hear it in any of the beta videos? Do they just not have it enabled? 

Unfortunatly they do not use the original voice of RAAS. They use an own created cyntetic voice. It is not the same.

FS2Crew had to do it that way because Honeywell wouldn't license the real voices to them, chances are PMDG is using FS2Crew's also like Aerosoft AXE. If however it is their own, they probably ran into the same license issue, so theirs will probably not be the original voices either.

i dont know, why you spread out false information. our voice is not synthetic and was quite expensive. its the same voice you actually hear in a few fighter jets and she is the first betty in any aircraft
