Does the PMDG 777 have RAAS?

Featured Replies

So is the RAAS on FS2Crew the actual voice as in the real systems or an imitation of it? Could someone please post a video of how the original RAAS is suppose to sound like?

Here's one I found, Actually ithe FS2Crew version  sounds very similar, just the inflections seem  different.

I wonder if this feature might sneak its way into the NGX SP2...

Not sure:

SP2 isn't the same as a v2.0 so it's probably a free NGX upgrade. Bryan York's RAAS, on the other hand, is payware. If the NGX RAAS were built inhouse by PMDG, it would probably be included in the free SP2, though.

What happened to AVSIM

Please forgive my terrible cropping jobs.

Froogle's live stream tonight, demonstrated the RAAS! He didn't state it, but from the sound of it, it looks like it's a version of FS2Crew's, (Just like they did for Aerosoft's AXE!

Thanks

To clarify, it's FS2Crew's RAAS but we've made some enhancements like allowing it to feed the ND and ECIAS messages like the real one does.

Regarding the voice - I do believe Airbus's is their own system that is not 100% the same as what's in the Boeing versions. I haven't heard any complaints at all from the tech team pilots about the voice in our implementation of it.

Sounds great Ryan. Silly question: Do we have to purchase the FS2Crew RAAS or is it included like in Aerosoft's Airbus X Extended?

Every new feature or improvements we hear that are included leave me stunned and speechless!

Hmmm seemed to be a decent question about a feature of the pmdg 777, perhaps the judgemental remark was not needed?

It came as part of the installer in our last build, and they've stated before that their products will not be set up in a way that required to go purchase another program to fully enjoy it, so I'm guessing they worked out a deal with FS2Crew.

Will it conflict for those who have the Standalone version?

To my knowledge, no.  It uses the same common file folders/locations.
