Same with me, I'm uninstalling FsBuild right now and will be using this thing for many years to come.

Derek add that DONATE button for me :D

OK, some more fuel feedback on two flights over the last two days.

In each case ZFW was matched, as was MMO, FL, etc.  Used OPUS for weather, in general differences in temps and winds seemed pretty small.

Flight                AC       Act Flt Fuel/SimBrf Flt Fuel     Act time/Plan Time

KMIA-TNCM     73H                11.1 /16.4                         2:38/2:41

KLAX-PHKO     739                33.4 /39.9                         5:22/5:22

The timing seems bang on.  Great to see the ETOPS, spent an hour plus figuring how to jury rig named waypoints in the PMDG NavData so I could enter in my FMC.

Thanks for the report, Joe.

Not sure what's up with the fuel, I'm using real Boeing figures now so I'm hesitant to change them. The good news is there's a "Fuel Factor" option now that you can use to correct the fuel flow manually.

Next time you fly, could you take a note of your cruise fuel flow? If you could, I'd need the altitude, airspeed, weight, and OAT observed for that fuel flow as well.

Thanks,

Derek,

Last night I flew DFW to ATL 1.5 hrs and uses P/F:M0.7 and it pretty much was bang on, as close as what I assume the airlines would expect. My fuel ended up being .3 In the positive, so maybe make P/F:M06 or 05 as the standard before a performance factor is changed.

Well, I just triple checked my fuel table for the 738 and it's almost an exact match to the official Boeing table I have, I don't know what to say.

I'd really be curious to have an example of the NGX's fuel flow in cruise, something just isn't adding up here. I'll keep investigating though, for now at least the fuel factor option should help you guys out!

Thanks,

Hello Derek

Thanks for this great program for FSX! It truly is an excellent program that we all appreciate for our flightplanning needs!

Derek, what Denis means is probably how to eliminate a plan where you made an error. I too have made a wrong move on one of my plans and wanted to erase it after it was already generated. Now when I go to the scroll list of my previous plans, it is still there and I would also like to know how to remove it from that list. Perhaps what you mean is that I just need to re-plan the same flight correctly and the previous one will go?

Thanks to clarify.

That's what I meant Jean-Claude - when you generate and find you have made a mistake - thanks.

All the best

Denis

its not just good, its very good ! and with that, i dont even mean the calculations but instead, what you did there with PHP. I had a similar project and can remember, how hard it was to develop this.

just one suggestion, it would be great if they departure runway chart and the arrival chart are also included the report that we print out. As on the current printout it gives runway departure and runway arrival however the charts would be good to also be included.

You can get the charts from Navigraph, Simplates to name 2 or do,a google and you will find most Australia and NZ are also freely available. :)

Hi again,

Just an update on the website as it's been a while since my last post. Several new features and fixes have been implemented over the past month, some examples include:

  • 2 new OFP formats: British Airways and Delta Air Lines (more on the way).
  • Several new aircraft types including the B703, E170, E195, BBJ1/2/3, A310, B747F, MD11F, B777F.
  • Several new options allowing pilots to specify Contingency Fuel, Reserve Fuel, custom Zero Fuel Weights, Fuel Factors, and Extra Fuel.
  • Proper flight plan units in Eastern Airspace (speeds in km/h and altitudes in meters where applicable).
  • Added FMS download formats for X-Plane and PMDG products.

I've also created a Facebook page where I will be posting updates as they occur, users who wish to be advised of all the latest updates can "Like" our page here: www.facebook.com/simbrief !

Thanks for your continued support,

I've been using simbrief for a few weeks now and thoroughly enjoy it. The NGX 800 is dead on but I haven't gotten the 700 just right yet, I'll have to play and get familiar with the P0 and M0. I'm still a bit confused but I'll figure it out.

Thanks Derek!

Derek, just a short applause to you folks for offering that service. I've recommended it quite some times and the worst thing to happen was that folks then got interested in planning and bought some payware to find out that your free site is pretty close or even better.

Thanks it's nice to hear people are still enjoying it! ^_^

Another update, I have just added the United Airlines (UAL) format to the dropdown list on the Dispatch Options page. That covers the 3 most popular airlines as requested by SimBrief users (BAW, DAL, and UAL), the next most popular would be DLH but I haven't had anyone send me an OFP sample from them yet so I might do BER next instead.

We'll see.

Keep up the great work.
