August 14, 201312 yr Awesome video, no time to watch it all, will get to that tomorrow...its a shame to see more negative comments yet again in the comment section, some people never learn! You can never satisfy people. When things are silent behind the scenes, they bug PMDG for previews. When pictures/videos are finally being posted for the world to see, they complain about too many previews. It's amazing. August 14, 201312 yr Great flight just a quick question how come your cost index was so high at 500 is that normal? thanks Carlo

August 14, 201312 yr Great flight just a quick question how come your cost index was so high at 500 is that normal? thanks Carlo I was in a hurry haha no you saw it wrong i set CI to 50 Johan Ketting MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon Intel Core i7-7700K 16GB @2400mhz 128gb SSD 2TB HDD
August 14, 201312 yr Actually I think it was 100. Anyway 500 is normal, in a sense the plane will fly with it no problem. It will be faster than "usual" though --Peter Fabian
August 14, 201312 yr Is the CI on a different scale then for example the MD-11 or 737 where I use a CI of 80? With the T7 video's so far (real life and PMDG) I noticed CI around 500 till 650. Best regards, Stefan van Hierden
August 14, 201312 yr Amazing thanks, this is the sort of video I have been waiting for! Kind regards Werner Gillespie CYB2400Proud member of Cyber Air Virtual AirlinesAVSIM Staff Member
August 14, 201312 yr Awesome, I love the video and I love the plane. Although I have one question. At 2:29 in the video after you entered reference airport and then selected ROUTE, the ICAO identifier of the airport (EHAM in this case) is not copied into scratch pad on CDU like it is on a 737. Is this because you've already entered IRS position at this point or the 777 actually doesn't have that option? Aljaz Prislan
August 14, 201312 yr s the CI on a different scale then for example the MD-11 or 737 where I use a CI of 80? Yes. Although I don't know how high it goes. Maybe 1000? At 2:29 in the video after you entered reference airport and then selected ROUTE, the ICAO identifier of the airport (EHAM in this case) is not copied into scratch pad on CDU like it is on a 737. If you look at the video, I believe you will find that he did not input EHAM at all at the POS INIT page, copied the coordinates direct from GPS reading. --Peter Fabian
August 14, 201312 yr Nice video, what i noticed that the plane seems very stable especially in the roll axis. On approach when the airspeed is low and when the control surfaces are less effective does it require regular control input to keep the wings level and counteract the inertia of the (huge) engines? Is this modelled with the new FBW system? Marcel van Santen
August 14, 201312 yr nice video, though I must say I did not wanted to watch it completely Just want to keep the surprise for when I'll do that on my system Same here but the 40 minutes flew by. No pun intended. Great video.
August 14, 201312 yr I have a question. I'm assuming we can use our NGX joy buttons to discon the AP and AT and press TOGA. I've been reading that we are to leave the A/T arm in on all the time. Would we use a different button to disconnect the AT or just switch that main one off if we wanted to land completely manual? You can assign AT disconnect buttons just like you can in the NGX. What's different about the 777, is that the AT switches on the MCP, don't automatically go to off when you disconnect the AT. They stay armed at all times. So even if you're flying manually, they'll still be in the up and armed position. Incredible to hear all those sounds. Just a side note, is it the video , or my eyesight that the FD needles are hard to see. Or perhaps its an option to have a higher contrast needle. But I have to admit, watching all these videos is like bringing a kid into a candy store, showing him all the goodies and then taking it away 20x over. lol No problems seeing the FD needles for me. Awesome, I love the video and I love the plane. The 777 doesn't automatically copy ICAO code into the scratchpad like the NGX. It has to be done manually.
