September 22, 201312 yr +1, I flew back from Europe this last summer after a six week stay, the flight back to the US was on Lufthansa and the service was perfect, I am 6'4 and 265, I always book a coach aisle seat for the extra leg room, somehow I was assigned a middle seat for a 11 hour flight. As asked the flight attended to be moved to a aisle seat she came back a few minutes later and asked me to follow her, I ended up in a Business Class Seat.. On a Airbus 330... what away to gain customer satisfaction, it was the first time for me to fly on Lufthansa, YES I am impressed by the German Airline. Next trip to Europe next summer....Lufthansa will by my first choice :-) John Nelson Retired UPS
September 23, 201312 yr Ok, guys, lets be honest. You like the Oktoberfest weeks when they put the cabin crew in dirndl dresses. / sent from a mobile thingy /
September 23, 201312 yr They've got a reputation for very throrough pilot selection, so I feel quite safe in the hands of a Lufthansa pilot, as opposed to an airline which shall remain nameless, where pilots pay to get in the pilot seat... Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!

You like the Oktoberfest weeks when they put the cabin crew in dirndl dresses You mean this: http://t.co/Yyho9d16JG The FA in the middle of the photo was a FA on my EDDM-KORD a couple of weeks ago. The cabin crew was wearing normal uniforms at that time. Marty Becker PPL - Instrument Rating
September 23, 201312 yr Speaking of Germans. We are sitting in the office of a car dealership and just signed on the line for s Volkswagen Golf. Just waiting on the sales manager then we can go. Great cars I picked up my new Jetta S on Saturday. I was amazed that I could get a German car for the price of a base Toyota Corolla. They told me it was the last 2013 Jetta S on the East Coast of the US. As for airlines, our flight to Italy on Swiss was like a trip back in time, to the distant past where the airline tries to make you comfortable and tries to provide service and decent food and drink throughout the flight.

September 25, 201312 yr "Fahrvergnugen" means Driving Pleasure....so that means I get to drive the plane then??? I like this airline  Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
September 26, 201312 yr Isn't that BMW's slogan? Oh I thought that one came from Toyota  Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
September 26, 201312 yr Very easy: their consistency. I'm a Senator flyer with Miles&More, and always try to fly LH and preferably Swiss. With LH, you never have to worry about differences between cabin crews, because they are all of the same standard. Swiss adds that little extra ingenuity to LH's no nonsense thorough client service. I used to fly United for my Atlantic flights, never again. They are good in the air, but their airport service and consumer care are the pits. -- President, Platinum Airways (the very virtual Open Skies airline)
