SkyMAXX Pro Cloud Engine Update

Oh for sure.....and I understand the community.  I remember some backlash over my free sky colors and how important the perception of the community is overall when it comes to the sky.

I put a lot of effort into making this product appeal to the whole user base and the UI is at the center of that.......

Not only are the clouds dynamic but also the setup, I hope users take advantage of that to customize the product to conform to their tastes....

Two questions

1. Will you be adding more sky colors by the time of release and beyond?

2. Do the sky color options that you have in your screenshot affect the colors of the clouds.  Kind of like color themes instead of only sky colors?

Really looking forward to this product.

Question:

- will the weather ( shear / turbulence ) effects generated for some X-plane clouds be available on your 3d clouds?

1.I may, but I currently feel I have a good spectrum.......

2.No we are using our own shaders for the clouds, but we are hoping in the future to use our own sky colors.....all depends on LR right now......

Yes the default weather and the clouds work together....additionally the NOAA plugin works well also.....

Great!

Andras,

Here is a shot with a low contrast sky and the crepuscular rays dialed down.....

Holy Cow!

This plus some photoscenery and autogen will be amazing.  I am eagerly awaiting this release.

Wow John, Skymaxx Pro keeps getting better all the time. X-Plane is starting to show off some of its real potential.

Andras, PilotBalu and John, saved X-Plane 10, I am tempted to say....

And of course those great 3pds making available aircraft and scenery to further enhance our experience.

A mention of honor to XPFR, for making available for free some excellent aircraft and sceneries, such as the great Madeira from our friend uwespeed!

Yes, this is much closer to what I mean  (but you all see, its really subjective ... and thats why its great that John gives us all lots of choices and freedom in the config).

Though, this shot shows another "problem" (but it seem to be a similar issue as with the default cloud engine - and its a result of the quite complex nature of cloudscapes, where its not trivial to compute which cloud shades which other clouds and how much) ... the shading of the clouds themselves seems to be a little bit "patchy" (this comes from the Sundog engine, I am sure ... and neither is this something which can easily be "fixed"). And its quite likely, that its the back lighting, which brings out this "effect". I mean, that even though some larger patches get shaded darker (as we see their shadow side) ... there are still some brighter shaded patches in middle of them (even though one would expect, they can't get that much extra light if they are more or less behind other clouds). ...

And I definitely do not want to ruin here anything (before someone thinks I am nitpicking  ) ... just try to point out things which might be improved to make this product even better (but only if they are feasible improvements - without ruining the performance etc.).

Those shots look incredible, this will be a must-have add on for XP10. The current XP-10 clouds bring my computer to its knees, so much so that I'm mostly flying in constant sunny/cloudless skies, and if this offers an improvement in frames as well, then it will be a seriously impressive add-on.

Beautiful pic!!

He does a fantastic job of presenting these clouds in a natural state......Personally I love them, I know I know Im selling them but I truly stand behind them 100%

As far as water lets see what the future brings ;)

Sorry I have been quiet we are working out the fine details in the background, programming is a slow process......
