October 2, 201312 yr Yes, looking very good! Thx for the video! Yesterday I was thinking that you should really partner with whoever gives the first step towards creating a good weathyer injector for X-plane. The author of the GFS plugin should also be in their list of important contacts... Merging all of your work would certainly allow for a great product. LR could probably try their luck in the add-on market as well. They could create a team of 3pds and start selling some add-ons, just as MS did with the first versions of FS up to FS5... Scenery, aircraft and weather add-ons directly sold by LR? Why not? The authors could have direct support from the creator(s) of X-plane... Austin, Ben?..... Are you reading? The fact they haven't already is what makes me wonder if they're really focused on making the platform a commercial success. I wonder sometimes if they kind of like being quirky outsiders... i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

There is the NOAA plugin which I feel is much better than default: http://x-plane.joanpc.com/plugins/xpgfs-noaa-weather On a side note my hope was to break into the scenery department with X-Plane, something that really hasn't been done in before in the hope that it will bring more interest in this area. I have a working knowledge of how X-Plane uses the ground textures and have already started experimenting with seasons: http://maxx-xp.hiking-pa.com/?page_id=1213 These are very early screen shots but it is something that will happen in the future...... I also have a working Autumn concept, that was accomplished by changing the color of the trees...... Once we get this out the door I hope to continue working on these add-ons and maybe wrap them in a plugin that will automatically load them depending on the time of year....
October 2, 201312 yr So I bought X-Plane 10 this morning, should be here in a couple of days! I can't wait to add this weather add-on to it. Now we've been told that there are seasons in development!!! It can't get better, can it? October 3, 201312 yr Altough it depends on the hardware used... but any idea aprox. how many frames decreases (avg)?
October 3, 201312 yr Author We are getting goid performance overall....in many cases better than default. With that said, as to not surprise, the crepuscular rays are expensive....
October 6, 201312 yr The clouds and lighting are an enormous step forward! Last pic is incredible. In the video I see a sudden variation of visibility that looks somewhat unrealistic, as if the fog/haze suddenly disappears. It can be seen between 00:56 - 01:04. Can it be improved before the final release? "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

Can it be improved before the final release? Its a compromise right now, a result of getting rid of "THE GREY SCREEN OF DEATH"...... With that said anything is possible with code and time....
October 6, 201312 yr OK here are a couple for you to ponder..... Pinch me!!! Jesse Casserly ✌🏼️ https://www.youtube.com/user/JesseCasserly757 💻 i7-10750H 2.6 GHz / 5.0 GHz, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, 1TB HDD, RTX 2080 Super Saitek X-56 HOTAS
October 6, 201312 yr These two new pics are truly incredible and that without HDR, right? And the absence of "THE GREY SCREEN OF DEATH" is definitely the second best thing after the looks of the clouds! May I ask, what does overcast weather look like from above, I mean a dense blanket of clouds?

May I ask, what does overcast weather look like from above, I mean a dense blanket of clouds? Without HDR that is correct..... Disagree with you on this, there has been tons of backlash on the sudden grey out that X-Plane 10 has..... That is one thing we are going to add is a volumetric overcast condition, once we have a working example Ill show you......
