October 26, 201312 yr That would be good news. Competition is usually good for the game. Regards, Ray Yeah for sure Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
October 26, 201312 yr Sooner is better. I would expect Mindstar to start making contact with the developers soon. I guess this is the chicken and egg syndrome but if one is interested in selling a new product to a new market then he should initiate the contact, wouldn't you think? Ray When Pigs Fly . October 26, 201312 yr THANK GOD! I have been waiting a long time for an addon like this, Im going to stick it every addon I own (realair duke, A2a 172 etc) I love this Developer and I will support them 100%! October 26, 201312 yr Author Ray, In answer to your question: "Is it just me or have you folks noticed that the RXP GNS units load almost instantly in the v2 Duke but still take zzzzzzzzzz their own sweet time to load in most everything else..." - I have never experienced any delay with any other aircraft (e.g. Carenado T210, F33A, etc) and the RXP's. October 26, 201312 yr Major click spot losses still. Flying FTX England in a rural area, weather is good, no addon airports or traffic in sight. Pc is not stressed, I can out the mouse over a button and watch it change from clickable to unclickable every second for about 20 seconds! Only addon is FSGRW. No track ir. I read somewhere else something about disabling g effect? Will give that a try later. I love the cockpit lighting, please don't change it, and u can also confirm battery or maybe it was the gyro sound playing while cold and dark. -Iain Watson-
October 26, 201312 yr Yes, I have some sound in the background when loading Cold and Dark. It does sound like it could be gyros. My A2A C172 has a very similar sound when loading. Kinda makes me suspect FSX. I have never lost VC click spots with either. Hmmmm. Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
October 26, 201312 yr Is it just me or have you folks noticed that the RXP GNS units load almost instantly in the v2 Duke but still take zzzzzzzzzz their own sweet time to load in most everything else. I mean we still have to click them twice and acknowledge the Message but the units are ready for the clicks with no waiting. I think it might be just you. The Duke is no different from any other plane I own - a pause, and several screens to click through. Scott

Scott Thanks Scott, I checked the load times again and the V2 Duke is almost instant in loading the XP 530 x2. All my other add ins have a noticeable delay before I can press the Enter key. The new Duke does not have that delay. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

When first powered up, the unit performs a series of self tests that take about 6 to 10 seconds, after which the user must press the Enter key - then the unit will go through the acquisition of GPS satellites, which, (depending on how long it has been since the system was last used), could take as little as 5 seconds, or as long as 60 seconds (or more). Yes, I understand. It is the 5 to 10 seconds that I am referring to. The new Duke zooms thru the self check and versions report while others step thru the checks and versions and dates. Ray Does this happen every time (including starting the plane from cold and dark), or only when resuming a saved flight? With "AutoPowerOn=On" set in Rxpgns.ini, I get the normal startup routine when starting a flight, but the GNS goes straight to the "press Enter" screen if I load a flight in progress. Tym
October 26, 201312 yr Tym, I'm away from FSX now but will check later today. Seems like all the time. It is noticeably faster on the first flight and I usually start cold and dark. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
October 28, 201312 yr Livery Pack available now. Go grab it. http://www.realairsimulations.com/list_box.php?page=dukeb60v2_downloads
October 28, 201312 yr Anyone here have a PFPX file for flight planning for the Duke? I have a POH but I dont have time to put all the stuff in PFPX! Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom
October 28, 201312 yr Isn't PFPX a little overkill for a piston twin? I just use 50% fuel, check the winds and temps aloft, check the perf tables and file that as my TAS, and off I go hehe. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
