October 11, 201312 yr You aren't missing out on any amazing sound, the amazing sound is included in the NGX package. There is one excellent mod which enhances the PMDG sounds. By the late Steve Inwood, linked to in his NGX ground roll enhancement thread. Adds some rattles and thumps to great effect. Well worth trying out.
October 13, 201312 yr http://forum.avsim.n...-ngx-soundpack/ Hey Zoran thanks for the link. One question on installing the sound pack. Do I just need to copy the new sound files to the appropriate folders? I know the instructions say to extract the 2 new folders to the main FSX directory but when I tried to do that I got a prompt that asked me if I was sure I wanted to replace the existing "SimObjects" and "Sound" folders. I clicked cancel and haven't installed them yet because I don't want to loose anything. I'm not sure on the correct installation procedure here. Thanks Ben Weaver SWA8485

Feels so real! Falling in love all over again with my NGx!!!!  Ben Weaver SWA8485
October 13, 201312 yr The T7 experience of course is extra-ordinary but looking at the total "eco system", the 737 beats it FOR ME. I can use the 737 with my CP Flight MCP, FS2Crew, Top Cat and Virtual CDU on iPad. Also since I fly on VATSIM with time limits of about 5 hours and try to stay away from time acceleration, it's of course easier to find suitable routes for the 737. October 13, 201312 yr I haven't even got the 777 yet. I know it is good of course, but it is too big and long range, for the sort of short range flights I enjoy. I knew my thinking would be like this, which is why I wasn't screaming at PMDG to finish thier development. J u l ia n D i a m a n d i s

". for now, cheers john martin
October 14, 201312 yr I last flew the NGX very early July.... I don't miss it ha The 777's automation can make things less exciting - I do agree on that actually. But I don't see why you'd need FS2Crew with it personally. However everyone has different preferences ^_^ - Luke Pabari

However everyone has different preferences ^_^ As reed259 said, it's all about atmosphere and the sense of believing that you are actually there in a cockpit being part of a process. The part that always gives me the most goosebumps is "ground, we are ready for pushback and engine start" B) My biggest problem with FS2Crew for 737 is that I haven't used it that much lately so I have to sit with both the checklist and the "flowlist" in front of me (well, on the iPad) which takes away the natural flow. But it's an issue related to my bad memory, not the program! Krister LindénEFMA, Finland------------------
October 14, 201312 yr Over here on X Plane I miss it, I wish it was available on this software, then this would be the best sim out there!
October 14, 201312 yr I dont own the T7 and dont plan on buying it for the time being. I wait for the ER versions to see if I gonna change my mind! The LR/F models are to specific for the flights I like to do. I cant say I miss the 737 that much... But now I pretty much fly the MD11 only. I really love it. Lot of power, good range, unique design, and despite becoming a little old compare to the NGX and the T7, it is a masterpiece from PMDG! Congrats to all involved in this beautiful piece of work. October 14, 201312 yr Love 'em all...... fly 'em all ...... No need to have a monogomous relationship with your PMDG fleet .......... be promiscuous and fly them all!
October 14, 201312 yr Commercial Member the only thing though is that i feel PMDG did better job with the mcp on the T7, it really sticks out very realistically. The 737 and 777 cockpits aren't the same - don't know what to tell you here. The 737 definitely has less "depth" to the main panel in real life: See how much deeper the 777 panel is recessed back from the edge of the MCP? October 14, 201312 yr I came back, to the 737 some days ago. It took me 5 minutes to close the sim and select the 777, again. I only fly the 777...absolutely surrendered to this masterpiece.. Best. Miquel Egea.
