October 11, 201312 yr I have only been flying with fsx for the last couple of months and I am looking to pick up a new plane. Right now I own the 737 ngx and the pmdg 777. I love the pmdg planes due to the in depth systems and all the details etc. I was looking for recommendations of other planes that are on a similar level. I have been looking closely at the q400.

October 11, 201312 yr imho majestic dash8 q400 > pmdg js41 pmdg I think also said the js41 is more like a lite version compared to other pmdg products with some features missing and not fully modeled fmc (I might be mistaken) don't get me wrong, both are great, at least in my short time I had at a friends place. But both of us agree that the majestic is the better one of the two. if you want to fly the big airliners maybe also look into the pmdg md11 and the 747 which is pretty cheap right now ($55) ? but there will be a 747v2 in the future which you have to pay for again. but could be end 2015 before the release with the pace pmdg works. there are other great ones out there, but those are on my shopping list for now for the big planes. for the ga ones I'm eyeing for the a2a 172 and realair duke v2. those are pretty far above in my shopping list. also a nice choice since its 50% off right now is the realair lancair legacy for only 15€ which is a steal until the end of the month. even if you don't like ga's you might want to get it, especially for that price. October 11, 201312 yr Dont take this the wrong way but you really need to learn to fly without bells n whistles. I would go the A2A simulations C172 and work your way around Alaska , hand flying. ZORAN

October 11, 201312 yr Personally for me it's the JS4100 every time. Especially with FS2CREW, it brings a whole new dimension to the sim. Some call it a 'lite' simulation. But would you call a fully functional regional turboprop with all systems fully functional lite? The only missing thing is failure simulation, personally I like to fly without failures anyway so it works for me, and I've got many hundreds of happy hours in the Jetstream. James W

I agree. after buying the a2a c172 I don't fly my tubeliners anymore. I know some don't think a simulation of a 172 could be complex but this addon is extremely deeply simulated Mike Avallone [email protected],Corsair H115i cooler,ASUS 2080TI,GSkill 32GB pc3600 ram, 2 WD black NVME ssd drives, ASUS maximus hero MB
October 11, 201312 yr PMDG MD11: It's special, neither Boeing nor Airbus. Really deep systems. And there will be neither an upcoming SP nor a V2.0. So no pretext to wait any longer. What happened to AVSIM
October 11, 201312 yr I recommend Concorde-X from FSLabs. If you get it you absolutely need to get the Concorde DVD from ITVV as well. These 2 products are awesome!! October 11, 201312 yr imho majestic dash8 q400 > pmdg js41 If it matters, I don't think the Maj Q400 is recognized by FSPassengersX, but the J41 is. October 11, 201312 yr If it matters, I don't think the Maj Q400 is recognized by FSPassengersX, but the J41 is. might be true ... but I think fspassengersx isn't in development any more ? the majestic should work with fscaptain though ... but if you need fspassengerx then yeah I guess you should stay away from it. October 11, 201312 yr Author If it matters, I don't think the Maj Q400 is recognized by FSPassengersX, but the J41 is. Thanks for the headsup. I use fscaptain anyway, but its a good thing to know!
October 11, 201312 yr might be true ...but I think fspassengersx isn't in development any more ? Yes I've heard the same thing. Can anyone confirm FSCapt recognizes the Maj Q400 since some/much of its flight model is 'outside of FSX', which is presumably why FSPax doesn't interact/recognize the Maj Q400. I'm happy w/ FSPax myself. I'm happy w/ FSPax myself. according to their forum it works fine ... if you have the majestic you can just download the demo of fscaptain and test it. But I'm pretty sure it works. you might need to download their updated interface from the homepage for the majestic and add it to you installation, but it should work just fine. P.L.
