November 6, 201312 yr Just a quick question if someone could tell me if there is a new version of Steve's DX10 Fixer avaliable? I'm running the fixer and find it fantastic but I've read somewhere that there is a new version out or build no. something like that, also that it's avaliable at the FSS (but unable to find it) Thanks in advance. Cheers Rod.
November 6, 201312 yr Yes there is, straight from Steve. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/423397-announcements-v11-available-for-download/ Just log in to your account on the FlightSim Store and download the Fixer again. Lyn
November 6, 201312 yr Steve P. is a scholar and a gentleman, looks like Build 24 should be out very soon. Build 19 is the current released version. Thanks to Steve's DX10, I purchased FTX Global (I was a long hold out) yesterday, did a DX10 Controller scan and I'm very happy to report that FTX Global has no issues under DX10 on my system.

November 6, 201312 yr Build 24 is already available for download. Oh!! If I'm back in my home land (Blackpool area), I'm going to look you up Steve and buy you a Beer or four (or beverage of your choice). Thank you!
November 6, 201312 yr I noticed this too...but when you dl and install it is v24. Intel i7 10700K | Asus Maximus XII Hero | Asus TUF RTX 3090 | 32GB HyperX Fury 3200 DDR4 | 1TB Samsung M.2 (W11) | 2TB Samsung M.2 (MSFS2020) | Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280mm AIO | 43" Samsung Q90B | 27" Asus Monitor
November 6, 201312 yr This is Steve's recommended procedure to install a new version of the Fixer. I have seen where some have just installed over the existing version and it seemed to work. I followed this method and it was flawless. Posted 10 October 2013 - 02:17 PM This is the process to update to a new version (largely nicked from badfinger's post!) 1 .Download the latest build from the FSS store...go to "My Account" 2. Double and Triple Check that your current version is installed in a sub directory of program files. If not see note at end. 3: Open your current version of the "Fixer" and select "uninstall libraries" - if you run FSX using multiple user accounts follow the instructions in the manual! 3: Go to Windows Control Panel and "Programs & Features" "Uninstall a program" and select DX10 Fixer and uninstall 3a: Reboot computer 4: Select the latest version of the installer you just downloaded and "Run as Admin" 5. Enter license if prompted. 5:Reboot Computer 6: Right click the Fixer icon that should be residing on your desktop, and select advanced, tick the box "Run as Admin" 7: Reinstall the libraries in the fixer and check your other options. 8: Run FSX and make sure all is good. NOTE - IF you have installed DX10SceneryFixer into your FSX directory, then do NOT UNINSTALL. Start at Step4 and install the new version into the default location. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/423381-updating-to-a-new-release-flight-sim-store/ Lyn

November 7, 201312 yr Yes, thanks Bob, I read all these posts, but I expected the sales page to indicate the version of the current download. One last question. From reading the info it says that there is an installer, so I assume the installer will make all entries automatically and I won't have to modify any files or config entries. Is that correct? Bruce
November 8, 201312 yr OK done, but now I forgot what my AA settings were before uninstalling. It seems like there are more options available now and I wonder if someone can explain. My cfg shows: MultiSamplesPerPixel=4 MultiSampleQuality=8 Mark CYYZ
November 8, 201312 yr If you are confused as to which version you are downloading, I believe version 19 was about ~6MB and version 24 is about 8.8 MB. Please correct me if I am wrong. "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma
