January 4, 201412 yr Ah- now I understand it all- If I use FS, I am only permitted to have fun- and definitely not to LEARN things such as the twirly thing up front is what pulls the airplane forward nor to LEARN that the long alum.slabs sticking out sideways enable me to go skyward. Sort of along the lines of never asking an adult where babies come from? And if I boot up P3D, I must never smile but only learn something new every day. Certainly, do not grin nor display any pleasure while learning- this is serious business!! Are there any daily tests to see what I learned yesterday? january
January 4, 201412 yr I hope I did not make mistake, my interest is PMDG not P3D here. I have read the rsrandazzo post, not sure I understand his talking about lisence for PMDG plane, my question is not answer by rsrandazzo, will PMDG ask for proof of me a student or pro if I buy a PMDG plane to after I buy P3D? If my question not understand, sorry for bad English. Olga Vankranendonk
January 4, 201412 yr my question is not answer by rsrandazzo Why should he? PMDG will state what it intends if and when it releases an add-on for Prepar3d. Gerry Howard
January 4, 201412 yr When we take city bus and we want to take bus as student we have to show student card to bus driver, not a student we can take bus too but not with same benefit. They should tell me if I need proof to buy plane to use like student, maybe I do not understand PMDG post. Olga Vankranendonk. Or... just keep your student ID handy after you graduate! It's one of my tips to "afford NYC" in your 20s. January 5, 201412 yr Why should he? PMDG will state what it intends if and when it releases an add-on for Prepar3d. Because here is PMDG forum and rsrandazzo post some license intent here first I do not understand all his post, why his posting if member can not get answer to question about it, rsrandazzo better not to post at all. Olga Vankranendonk
January 5, 201412 yr There is something called progress and anything that has got to do with IT, computers, data progresses very fast. We can't blame PMDG that at some point we will have to change our platform, and we will have to re-invest in add-ons just like we did when we moved from FS2004 to FSX. After this, we will have a new half-decade of fun and flight-sim experience, educational and entertaining. We should be greatful that PMDG thinks ahaead and progresses with the real world as we would like to keep their add-ons no matter to which platform we want to move. As Robert said, PMDG is a big part of our community and the community a big part of PMDG. Too much energy and investment has been spent by PMDG to leave this community in the near future, so any paranoia on this is doomsday thinking. Instead PMDG is and will continue to be one of the leading developers within this community, in my opinion. If I buy a car, and after 5 years I need an new one, I don't blame Mercedes for having to pay that new car, even it is just the next version of the same model. Ralf Medernach
January 5, 201412 yr I hope I did not make mistake, my interest is PMDG not P3D here. Oops, sorry, I made the mistake ... scanned the forum too quickly saw the P and EULA and assumed it was P3D.
January 5, 201412 yr Because here is PMDG forum and rsrandazzo post some license intent here first I do not understand all his post, why his posting if member can not get answer to question about it, rsrandazzo better not to post at all. PMDG have no obligation to answer you and, as it's obvious it's going to respond, I suggest you're the one who'd better not to post at all. Gerry Howard

January 6, 201412 yr The funny thing that noone seems to have noticed is that FSX was sold off to LM shortly after MS killed it. Selling it off to someone who was willing to invest in it, is after all a sound business decision. Just dive into P3D and look at the content, such as the "Load flight" dialog, and compare this (as well as the graphics, enumerations, etc) to FSX, and you will understand. On the funny side, P3D is definately worth checking out if you can, and I'd say it's indeed a real candidate to supersede FSX if simulation is what you're into. Owen Andrew Jorgensen ENVA
January 6, 201412 yr Again. No clarifying this is simply ones opnion for their is no basis to back it up as factual!

January 6, 201412 yr Commercial Member The funny thing that noone seems to have noticed is that FSX was sold off to LM shortly after MS killed it. LM licensed ESP, not FSX. FSX is the entertainment version of the simulator that we've all come to know over many years. ESP was FSX for simulators, aimed at the commercial market. Simulators have been using this for quite some time (Redbird, among others). The thing is, most simmers never knew ESP existed because they had no need to know it existed. It wasn't for them. It wasn't aimed at them. I'd argue that the only reason simmers know P3D exists, really, is FSX died and the only part that pair that got picked up was ESP, which is now P3D. Had FSX continued, I would argue P3D would still be just as mysterious to the larger part of the sim crowd, as ESP was. Kyle Rodgers
January 15, 201412 yr As long as PMDG is creating great airplanes (like 777) for FSX in the future, I am happy to upgrade my PC and pushing it's limits over the years to come. I am new to the forum so don't know if this question has been asked already or not , Will PMDG be making any Airbus (like A380) for FSX ? Ammar Khan
