January 22, 201412 yr Just flew it for an hour, and have to reinforce that: Flight1 Beech KingAir. Simply brilliant. With the one slight caveat that the G1000 implementation is somewhat frame and memory hungry, but the plane, how it flies, the G1000 implementation, the looks, the sounds, the genius Android app for controlling the G1000... nothing I do not like. Absolutely perfect IFR tourer.
January 22, 201412 yr A good jack of all trades single, the Baytower RV-7. Reasonable speed ~160kts. Great STOL ability ~800ft TO/Land. Aerobatic. It is somthing that you could take off from San Francisco area Califorina, fly VFR cross country to some Idaho bush country, knife around the canyons, plop down on some short dirt strip, fly back to CA IFR and shoot an instrument approach. Haven't tried the Orbx RV-4 yet but by all accounts it looks very nice too. A good jack of all trades twin, the Carenado 337 Skymaster. I know Carenados arent always the most system deep, but with a few user tweaks, AccuFeel, and RXP, it is a fine airplane. Also cruises around 160kts, reasonable STOL ability, long range. Because of it's great versatility, I am taking the Skymaster on a Round the World trip currently. Single-fast (easy to fly):Real Air Legacy. It is fantastic like everyone says. Single-fast (challenging to fly)A2A Civil P-51 If you want flat out great historical warbirds, A2A's warbird line is fantastic (Military P-51, P-40, P-47, Spitfire, B-17), while the Civil P-51 is a great mix of warbird thrill and modern civil IFR X-country capability. With accusim it also teaches you how to properly start and operate the big V-12 Merlin. Both Legacy and P-51 have 3D RXP support. If you like German warbirds, Classics Hangar has great FW-190A, D, TA-152 series and a fantastic BF-108 Taifun model as well. Twins, Real Air Duke, F1 King Air B200, Aerosoft Bronco are all excellent. Look foward to Milviz KA 350, Mu-2, Real Air Turbine Duke V2, they should all be great. Bush. Aerosoft Twin Otter, Wilga. Sibwings An-2. A2A J-3 Cub are all fantastic. Classic Airliner, A2A 377 COTS, look foward to the PMDG DC-6 as well. January 23, 201412 yr The OP asked for "near perfect", Captain Sim has never produced anything that was fully completed never mind near perfect. Is it like your goal to undermine everything I say... Captain Sim isnt that bad. Not PMDG scale, but for somethings its the only option. or at least best option at this current point in time. It also doesn't hurt to keep options open. ~Jared R. :p0129:
January 23, 201412 yr Single-prop (preferably fast) - A2A Cessna 172 (slow) or their Civilian P-51 Mustang (Fast) - You get a really nice feeling of connection with A2A's aircraft, from the spluttery start to the awesome sounds and flight performance. Make sure you tag on the Accu-sim pack when you get it!! I personallly love the Spitfire, but not so good for general aviation such as IFR etc. Dual-prop - RealAir Duke 2.0, Majestic Q400 which has nice systems and FMS depth Bush plane - A2A Piper Cub...but don't reallly have any bush planes in my virtual hangar. Classic commercial airliners from the 40's/50's/60's - Another vote for the amazing A2A B377 COTS edition...not much more to say. Would be interested in trying out the Concorde as well at some stage. Cam F.
January 23, 201412 yr as perfect as it can get single-prop (preferably fast)as perfect as it can get dual-propas perfect as it can get bush planeas perfect as it can get classic commercial airliners from the 40's/50's/60's 1. Realair legacy 2. Realair Duke, Majestic Q400, PMDG Js 41, Milviz Baron 3. Baytower Simulations RV-7 4. Heard that the DC-9 Package from flight 1 is good. Ryan L.

January 23, 201412 yr If you want the best of the best, I would suggest adding a Reality XP GNS530W to the Duke V2. It can be used for other airplanes as well, including providing navigation for the TBM.. Bert, I love my simming but never got into installing 3rd Party Guages etc. I own the RXP gear and its easy done for the Duke however how do I install it into the TBM?
January 23, 201412 yr I'd say the MilViz 737-200 and the Coolsky DC-9 are the best bets for classic airliners. Since you mentioned as perfect as it can get, I would not recommend anything from Captain Sim unless you love to tweak. January 23, 201412 yr Commercial Member I see it was mentioned above, but I would second the Sibwings An-2 for the bush plane category. I know many like to put the Twin Otter Extended there, and indeed it's right at the top of the heap for that category, but picking between the two, the An-2 feels more bush plane. The thing is about as STOL as you can possibly get - any more and you'd be flying a rotorcraft. An absolute blast to fly, and there's an incredible amount of liveries that have been done for it. Basically, the An-2 feels more like an old, abused relic that you can imagine a completely different era in (perhaps one where a bottle of vodka is stowed under the seat), whereas the Twin Otter, as amazing as it is, feels more 'professional', where flying means adhering to the rules, so to speak. Either way, you can't go wrong. Both are great planes! ^_^ Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
January 23, 201412 yr Allow me to add what is not included in the categories mentioned. Milviz Talon is one the best jet trainer, I dont own L 39, but I heard good things about albatros. I still fly Talon on almost daily basis. Regards, Janissary W. Gorky Max
January 23, 201412 yr Bert, I love my simming but never got into installing 3rd Party Guages etc. I own the RXP gear and its easy done for the Duke however how do I install it into the TBM? Send me a PM with your email address and I'll help you through it. Bert
January 23, 201412 yr Other great bush planes to consider include: RealAir Scout Aerosoft Beaver X Flight Replicas Super Cub Sibwings Cessna O-1/L-19 Bird Dog Scott
January 23, 201412 yr I have only two perfect aircraft in my collection, the A2A Pipoer Cub w/ Accusim and RealAir Simulations Beechcraft Duke B60 v2.0. Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
