January 30, 201412 yr I need a flight planning software badly, I have heard talk about pfpx and the ad's on here,Is it really the best?
January 30, 201412 yr Yes. PFPX is the best in terms of functionality and features. Nothing else comes close. Wes Meyer
January 30, 201412 yr why not start with simbrief its free and does just about everything including etops and step climb ZORAN
January 30, 201412 yr Evan, For what type of flying? What are your preferences or requirements in a flight planner? For example, do you want the planner to automatically generate a route for you, or do you want to manually select the route, or both? Is vertical navigation important? dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library
January 30, 201412 yr Commercial Member PFPX is most certainly the best, especially if you fly heavies. Nothing else comes close, imo. Aamir Thacker
January 30, 201412 yr Be aware PFPX has a learning curve. I suggest you watch Kyle Rodgers Tutorial. You won't be disappointed, once I grasped it, I love it. Ric Elmore
January 30, 201412 yr Commercial Member Took me a couple of days to figure it out, I'll give ya that. But afterwards.. Became my most used purchase of 2013! Aamir Thacker
January 30, 201412 yr Well (call me biased), but I must agree with the above, use it all the time and have never looked back. A key thing to point out is the question above, do you want a GA or tubeliner planner? For tubes, PFPX is the best out there. Regards,Kyle
January 30, 201412 yr Pfpx is great product but I agree that Simbrief does the job too and is free. In fact I sometimes prefer the latter's simplicity and uncluttered interface.
January 30, 201412 yr EFASS - Electronic Flight Assistant if you want something freeware PFPX My Youtube Channel (P3D/FSX/X-Plane Videos and much more!)
January 30, 201412 yr Hi Everyone, May i ask, where can i purchase the PFPX from? Thank you Dushantha Baduge
January 30, 201412 yr I tried EFASS but it does not (yet) take into account the various odd/even and eastbound/westbound rules when calculating cruise level. It also seems very orientated towards online flying, but the fact that it is online "friendly" and doesn't respect the FL rules seems to be a bit of a contradiction!
January 30, 201412 yr Moderator I need a flight planning software badly, I have heard talk about pfpx and the ad's on here, Is it really the best? It would help if you said what aircraft you fly. For Boeing and Airbus PFPX is excellent. They have a discounted price for it at the moment... http://www.flightsimsoft.com/pricing/ Ray (Cheshire, England).
