February 28, 201412 yr no wouldn't dream of getting my money back.this is more to do with my setup than prepare3d.besides i want to support anyone who invests in the future of flight simulators. at the moment i'm reinstalling after noticing that a hot fix has been released..maybe just maybe.... steve Sorry to hear that FSX and Prepar3d are making you nuts. Not meaning to take a shot at your equipment, but I have to tell ya....a fast I7 processor and a new GTX Video card has been pretty much a life changing event for me and especially with P3dV2.1. I know that it sometime hard to come up with the dollars but a good many of the folks here on this forum with problems are trying to run high settings with older tech. No all cases but many. LM has done a great job so far but you can only smear so much lips stick on a pig before you have to move on and buy a new pig. Sam Prepar3D V5.3/[email protected]/EVGA 3080 TI/1000W PSU/Windows 10/40" 4K Samsung@3840x2160/ASP3D/ASCA/ORBX/ ChasePlane/General Aviation/Honeycomb Alpha+Bravo/MFG Rudder Pedals/
February 28, 201412 yr He's having problems getting FSX to work also. Yes, that was my first thought as well. If FSX is giving him problems then no way was Prepar3d going to be any better. System problem as he has stated so not sure what the point of this thread is to be honest.
February 28, 201412 yr Moderator Well, for one, I appreciate him simply stating a fact of what HIS experience was and not laying blame, ad nauseum, on LM. Sorry it happened Steve but if you can get it set up right on your system, you'll be well rewarded. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

What do you consider that analogy? perhaps a question or two would be more advantageous now that the frustration has been vented?

Sorry it happened Steve but if you can get it set up right on your system, you'll be well rewarded. Vic Vic, I agree the reward is worth it when everything comes together. Been testing it for a couple of months only and despite its growing pains we feel it is a great path to the future for aviation sim enthusiast
February 28, 201412 yr I don't have a problem with anyone sharing their experiences. This is obviously a PC specific problem. Fix that first, then come and tell us all about it.
February 28, 201412 yr "FSX on hemorrhoids." What do you consider that analogy? Hilarious ...... especially since I'm a FS9 ONLY user! gwillmot
March 1, 201412 yr I took the plunge the other night and dl'd Prepa3d v2.1 and even with my antiquated system it ran okay. I didn't have any OOMs and actually had a "was that cool" moment when banking the shadows crept across my dashboard. That was a first in all my years of sim flying and boy did I love that. I'll sit back and let LM fix their problems before devoting more time with it for now since my FSX is just right and I enjoy it immensely but I gotta tell ya', that shadow effect has me hooked on the future of Prepar3d. I'd have to guess that your system is the culprit with your simming problems. Maybe have some of the guys here check-out your FSX.cfg file and maybe they might spot what's causing your problems, either way, the people here at the Avsim forums, me included, will be more than glad to help you out with your set-up to see if we can get FSX to run good. jime James D. March 1, 201412 yr Moderator "FSX on hemorrhoids." What do you consider that analogy? perhaps a question or two would be more advantageous now that the frustration has been vented? LOL. Gee! A couple of things come to mind - a blazing fast sim with fire coming out of it's...... If you look at his posts in general, he is pretty even keeled about it. Refreshing IMHO. I agree - more info and let's see if we can assist him. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
March 1, 201412 yr Author Why was thread deleted?? love to know why was it because i mentioned P3D V2.1 or hemorrhoids steve REX SKYFORCE 3D steve howlett
March 1, 201412 yr You sure it was deleted ? **** that's bad. But I did read upon the problems you are facing , of course I don't have P3d , but there are a few threads where it is a mixed reaction same as Fsx reaction with different users. I suggest just give LM some more time to clear up some things. Edited March 1, 201412 yr by firehawk44 Inappropriate language removed. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
