March 26, 201412 yr Hey! Did anyone see the direction of the currents? The RNZAF P3 Orion dropped a datum marker buoy to track the movement of the material. AMSA Update Release 11, 23 MAR 2014: 12.30am (AEDT)
March 26, 201412 yr Discuss all you want with technical failure scenarios, but having the transponder turned off when switching comms between KL (Shouldn't they be talking to Singapore instead? It's their FIR) and Saigon ATC is simply too convenient for any sudden failure. I mean how long does it take to switch frequencies on the comm panel and start talking again? 30 seconds max? The 777 is simply too reliable and this smacks of deliberate action. If someone wanted MH370 to disappear, this would be the time to do it.
March 26, 201412 yr About what Jim said in 825, and we're having a problem in Brazil with a small plane that crashed in the Amazon forest, our Air Force is using the Orion search and Orion solves, but yesterday something bad happened, the Air Force found a object hidden under trees, but it was not the plane they were looking for, found an aircraft that it was already more than 10 years at the time the pilot was rescued. We made the mistake of spreading the news before confirmation, has caused great frustration to relatives of those involved, especially for the family of a nurse who could tell by mobile message the emergency situation shortly before the fall. March 26, 201412 yr How could you retrieve debris even if you spotted it in those conditions? An interview in Beijing with a spokesman for relatives of FL370 passengers, also seemed to hotly criticize searchers for looking in the Indian Ocean- implying that searching should be directed to those locations where there might possibly be survivors. (As opposed to searching where the plane "probably" went down.) That is- search for people- not downed airplanes! An interesting cultural difference in thinking perhaps? january
March 26, 201412 yr I have tried to keep an open mind about MH370. It has been hard to do, because at every turn this mystery takes,it changes my thought process to what I personally think happened. But, at every turn, I keep thinking a suicide mission. It bothers me that i think that the Captain of MH370, who is highly respected, including the airline he fly's for, would do such a thing. Was it the phone call before he boarded ? Was it the fact that on this flight, he was hooked up with an inexperienced Co Pilot ? Being with an inexperienced Co Pilot, was that a good time to carry out his mission, if I may put it so crudely. If he was teamed up with a more capable experienced CP, would he have carried it out ? If he did do such a terrible thing It is the phone call that bothers me. Why ? because I have this feeling that it was his mistress, and it was not good news. But unless they find this mystery woman, I can only guess what the call was about. And why has she not come forward ? March 26, 201412 yr And why has she not come forward ? It could be a simple as not wanting a confrontation with the pilot's wife / family. She will come under intense police and media scrutiny should she be i.d.'d.
March 26, 201412 yr It could be a simple as not wanting a confrontation with the pilot's wife / family. Yes, that is an angle i did not think of. March 26, 201412 yr And why has she not come forward ? And remember we are also talking about a culture that doesn't look too kindly on adultery, on top of those other things just mentioned. March 26, 201412 yr What happens to any insurance claim by MAS for the 777,if it was due to pilot suicide? Does it nullify a claim or is it covered? Curious if MAS would have any reason to cover up a pilot suicide other than to deny blame... Don't know if there is anything in airplane insurance fine print. Can a real pilot check the glovebox for their insurance card please Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
