I've only recently purchased the Majestic Dash 8 and am still trying to get my head around flying the beast.

Now I've gone and got FS2CREW for it, I just hope it's not all too much at once for my shrinking brain matter.

What I am hoping is that it will make the learning curve a little flatter...

Hmmmm, well I got it but looks like Just Flight has not added the required patch to their downloads section yet.  Hope they get this done soon....I want to try this out!!!

OK I found it.  Just Flight don't exactly make it easy.  You have to go to the Just Flight website, then Support, then click on the drop down list and select the Majestic Q400.  Once at that page you will see the patch.

Haven't downloaded yet Bryan, but have most of your products and this one too shortly, THANKS!!!

The technical description mentions Windows Vista/7/8.. can I deduce that this will not work

with Windows XP - or can it be made to work there also?

Bert

looks , sounds and feels awesome !!  CONGRATS !!

...any ETA on Brendan's tutorial ?

cheers

Assuming you mean the one referred to in the FS2Crew manual, it's already available on the Majestic site, under Resources -> Tutorials. The associated panel state, wx etc files are available in a sticky in the Majestic forum.

According to the manual, XP is supported, but you may need to install the Speech Recognition API (SAPI).

Hello Bryan, is the new FS2Crew compatible with all versions of the Dash 8 Q400, or only with the current Pilot Version? Want buy (if available) the Pro Edition also!

The Pro Edition hasn't been released yet, but FS2Crew should work out of the box for it with no changes required based on what I know so far.

I'll stress 'should', because I won't know with 100 percent certainty until the Pro Version is released.

Cheers,

Brendan already has a tutorial.

Note, however, that his currently tutorial was modified to a degree to match single pilot ops.

However, there's still a tremendous amount of overlap.  But FS2Crew's tutorial takes precedence over his tutorial where there are any differences.

Thanks for sharing that :-)

It will work with XP.

Please see this:

But XP is old news.  It's time to dump it frankly.

Windows 7 and 8 handle memory much better.

Hi All,

Very good news on the voice release.  I'm waiting for the button version.

I'm tempted to buy the Dash 8 just for the pleasure of using another masterpiece of Bryan's FS2Crew

Hi Bryan, just wanted to add my congrats on yer new baby lol.  Got it several days ago and while still ironing out a few kinks (on my end I'm sure) I really like what you've done.  Spent several hours training Speech Recognition some of the new stuff and it's working pretty well.  Funny, I went out and bought a new usb headset (Logitech h540) thinking it would work better than my old analog input headset and it was worse.  I'm thinking that Speech Recognition maybe needs to be "unlearned" and started from scratch but don't know how to do that.  Anyway I digress  lol.  Really looking forward to the T7 especially since the ASN weather radar will be integrated.  Thanks for the great support as always.

You must start a new voice profile. Search "text to speech" then go to "Change text to speech options".

Is this voice training recommended to everyone or just for the people which are new to FS2Crew?

regards Patrick
