April 30, 201412 yr Commercial Member I have no idea if this detail was difficult to model or not - regardless- well done developers. This kind of detail is what makes PMDG, well, PMDG. Was not easy to make it look like the real thing like this. We are at the absolute limits here of what GDI+ graphics are capable of. We even went so far as to make the sweep effect appear when motionless on the ground, which is how it is in the real plane, even in TERR mode. Forgive me if i'm reading this wrong, but are you saying ASN runs on a different core on your processor so the only drain on resources during its use is the GPU? P.S The title says FooglePete ASN isn't increasing GPU load other than by the fact that weather gets displayed in FSX. Anyone on my question regarding the PAC alert? Thanks... Not simulated currently. Think of this as our first attempt with this - we're trying to get the basics right first and then it'll improve in future updates with more stuff. (RSR mentioned this already with respect to ground clutter, MAP mode etc) We definitely are not claiming this is a 100% accurate rendition of every single feature of the real life WXR-2100 just yet. May 1, 201412 yr Wow! I just flew some traffic circuits at KNPA (Pensacola Nas, FL, USA) at 11:10Z on April, 30th 2014 using ASN (but with the NGX). A day, time and place to remember for anyone who is about to test the WXR on the T7 in the near future... B) (I recommend to fly it all manual, as the turbulences and gusts are about to make your A/T run wild and the A/P is actually unable to comply...) Great challange and real big fun (in front of the PC screen)! :Cuppa: (Disclaimer: warning for folks with motion platforms: you should consider to fly anywhere else...) Always happy landings, Claus Claus KUEPPER

May 1, 201412 yr Thanks for the videos guys! This looks like good fun... It was said that the depiction range of ASN is limited to 80 nm. What does the ND look like if you increase the range above that 80 nm (in case there is something to depict of course)? cheers, NiIs U.AMD 5800X3D | 32GB DDR4 RAM @ 3200MHz | RTX 4070 12GB @ 1920x1050px

I thought you went Direct2D/Direct3D ages ago Seems like a good work. Almost makes me go out and buy ASN... I'll have to figure out how to fit it in the budget. --Peter Fabian

So i guess this can mean dont expect predictive windshear symbol on the ND and associated callouts ("MONITOR RADAR DISPLAY", "WINDSHEAR AHEAD" and "GO AROUND WINDSHEAR) then?
