Am I the only one to think that the really huge surprise in this release is this ? :
No, you're not the only one.  Access to these datarefs is very significant for developers.

if you don't know where to look for the changes I suggest it's time to go back to FSX. You own XP many months and your posts are very negative.

That was uncalled for :(

I guess so :p0504:

and if developers are happy, simmers will be as well !

I guess this depends on the system. If you're running on a low-end computer, SkyMaxx still gives you much better performance.

I also, tried using the new default and went back to SkyMaxx Pro. I found the new clouds didn't look much different IMO. They did, however, get that nasty White-Out cured..

I'm torn. I love Skymaxx Pro's clouds, but I'm also a sucker for cloud shadows. I guess it's just a matter of ticking the box on or off in the plugin admin tab.

Anyone finding issues with any addon a/c and any work arounds for them until the a/c developers get 10.30 ready patches out?

No issues here, I even added the new GPS to the Carenado planes.....

Great news!

Now all i need is sufficient time to get this promising looking new version installed and running properly on my PC!

:smile2:

Enjoy flying and happy landings.

Cool! How would I go about doing likewise?

wow. i just uninstalled sky maxx pro, the default clouds and the cloud shadows are now as smooth as silk! The sim is gorgeous! Brilliant update! Roll on the developers doing good things with this sim now. Its definitely 'the one'....!

I'm just about to try that as well....WOW>..wow...and oh..did I mention; *WOW*??!?  You don't have to beg, steal, borrow, plead...cry...moan about FPS and general system performance...that is...if you are now running XPX.30b1   Geez...:))))))))

I guess it depends on the system, but I found that SkyMaxx Pro 1.3.3 makes the  clouds work better with their silky textures, etc.

I finally - with the help of others in another post here - figured out where the copilot check block is and it is a great improvement -  allowing a large 2d pop-up and easy adjustment of the letters/numbers.  Look here and a little way down the page for illustrations:

I am still finding new stuff - everything good!

Looks like we have cloud shadows back!!!!

If they're back they must be very faint, I'm having trouble making them out!

I hope they also increase the cloud cover out to the horizon, up to now cover has been very localised, most evident at higher altitudes.
