I love the idea, and I really can't wait to try it out on my system, then probably forget about it forever.  I'm not sure if my machine can handle it.

I have some concerns though.  The main one is the look of the above screenshots doesn't scream PMDG to me.  Maybe it's the colour or the shading of the brown bars separating each cam, or it's how the main gear cams look too askew, or how the cams display doesn't quite fit in the screen.  I know it's a WIP.  I'm just worrying that some people might activate the feature and be really disappointed with it, and it may leave a bad taste in their mouth for PMDG.

Will this feature be PMDG quality come release?

Its because it was probably a cropped screen shot, we all know PMDG wont release something like that, also take into consideration that the frames you see in that screenshot is it is on that screen

Sorry if this has been covered before, but the taxi cams are only viewable as a 2D pop-up, correct? Just wondering and great job!

Yes..

O ok its looking great! Thanks for the reply

Mark Javornik

The taxi cams eat up a lot of frames too.

If you use EZdok, it's much more efficient to set up exterior cameras that are in the same positions as the real thing.

don't wait for it all

Just checked and that's how it works on the PMDG version as well. And because I know someone will ask.

Troll question 773 only? Or we getting this in the 772 SP1 as well?

The 772 doesn't have cameras, so it doesn't need the lights, so...no.

PMDG has always had a fantastic custom lighting solution for the NGX and LRX. Is anyone able to say whether the 77W will feature the ground maneuvering camera system lighting?

Example -

Thanks!

Be careful with airliners.net links, I'm pretty sure they aren't allowed to be linked here. (Copyright problems if I'm not mistaken)

Craig, that's what it actually looks like on the real screen (that's a real photo above) and we created our version of it based on high res photos of the actual display. Why jump to the conclusion that we've half-assed something like that instead of looking it up?

I'm glad you mentioned that is a real photo. I'm sure some of the Beta Testers' screenshots have looked just about the same!

Quite correct. I was always surprised at how, well, "FSX-default" the REAL WORLD taxi cam display looked on the T7. PMDG models the real world, so we get this slightly unpolished looking screen, as it is on a real 77W.
