25OCT14 - First Glance at PMDG 777-200 for Prepar3D
Boeing certainly seems to want all this to stop *before* they allow PMDG to sell P3D licenses, otherwise RSR wouldn't have to put their plans for P3D on hold at this stage.

FSX crashes before landing
He won't receive any warning if he doesn't use FSUIPC or other tools to monitor VAS usage  Thorsten, what scenery addons do you use alongside the PMDG addons? Did you check if the crashes also happen with the default aircraft?

PMDG Website having Connection Issues
Just logged in to precisionmanuals.com, no problems experienced.

300/sp1b
There is no update to download really. You have to download the installer for the 300 from your PMDG store account and install that again to update.

31Jul14 - Update On Sp1B Issues...
Well, people call the PMDG 777 a great addon because the PMDG 777 *is* a great addon. There's hardly anything that can match it in terms of completeness and immersion.

SigWeatherCharts
Technically you'd have to add Reykjavik Control to that list since they own most of Greenland's airspace and everything east up until 0°W. You'd hardly ever deal with them directly when tracking a NAT though, most traffic through Reykjavik Control is on a random route.

Flight Simulator Is Dead, But Microsoft's Revered Game Will Be Revived Under A New Name
For what it's worth, I didn't want to step on anyone's toes. Just wanted to point out that there's (quite lenghty) thread on AVSIM covering the topic.

Ran Out Of Available Memory With Sp1 And 300Er
You will have to lower your settings in FSX, the issues you're experiencing are inherent to the way FSX was coded. With demanding addons like the PMDG 777 or highly detailed sceneries you're pushing the limits of what FSX is able to cope with. Plus, the issue is well covered in the manual that came with the 777. Check PMDG 777 Introduction, page 0.00.30+ for more on this.
- Cruize phase, nose pointing up ⬆️

At gate
That's an issue with the AFCAD that defines the parking positions, not with the T7 or PMDG per se. When the parking node within the AFCAD doesn't match up with the scenery, the aircraft will be somewhat displaced from the 'proper' parking position when the sim loads.

There are two sources from which you can get navdata for PMDG planes - Navigraph FMS Data by Navigraph and NavDataPro by Aerosoft

KLGA 22 - KJFK ILS 22R
You are aware that you can cancel the A/P DISCONNECT alarm by pressing the disconnect button twice in rapid succession, are you? Re the hand-flying - with a bit of practice your landings can be just as greased as any automatic landing. Just stick with it (no pun intended) ;)

KLGA 22 - KJFK ILS 22R
Disconnect AP at MAP, then continue visual. Rumors have it there are professionals out there that have done it that way on occasion.

Selecting a realistic approach procedure
(edit: brain farting ensued. sorry for that.) (edit 2: RNAV is an just a way to move more metal in a limited airspace simultaneously. You not only have the classic VOR & DME ground-based radio stations available, but airborne equipment like INS/IRS and GPS as well to aid you in determining your position.)

New sim platform announced, Have you heard of this before?
Apparently the domain is a shared hosting product registered with register.com and owned by one individual residing in Kensington, MD.

New sim platform announced, Have you heard of this before?
I won't be surprised at all if and when this turns out to be another scamming attempt. Having nothing to show as far as proof-of-concept material is concerned, but already calling for beta testers?

Transition Altitude vs Transition Level?
Transition altitude is what you use when you're climbing out after departure and have local barometric pressure selected, Transition Level is what you use when you're descending from cruise level and have Standard Pressure dialled in. It is good conduct to switch between the two when either instructed to climb to a flight level on departure or descend to an altitude. ATC should give you the current local pressure before you get close to TL, if they don't hesitate to ask for it.
