I've just installed, plane add-on installation seems to work without issue. There's just one thing I need to ask other early adopters to verify... With HDR Lighting enabled, when I look directly towards the sun, I now seem to be getting the same hideous "whiteout" sun glare effect that plagued FSX DX10 with recent Nvidia drivers. Can anyone confirm if the same happens to you?

Tym

No. There will only be new Libs including FTX Central.

Kind regards, Michael

The addon scenery folder.. well.. have no idea how to add/edit this to make a new one... sigh...

Doug, It's the same way you make any new folder in windows.

Browse to the Prepar3D folder then simply Right Click > New> Folder

Ftx Central it is not included in FTX Global?

Can anyone comment is VoxATC working with 2.5? And the UT2 bridge?

I assume UT2 bridge may have some trouble adding the planes to VoxATC because of the new cfg?

Also anyone using ezdok does it work in 2.5?

If this has been asked elsewhere, I apologize for duplication. Here's the scenery I have. Can anyone tell me if any of it will work? I'll put my take on it. Maybe just confirmation. I have FS Global mesh. I have added that to the scenery library:

-FTX Global - that is just texture. Will that install? Or will issues with FTX Central trash the install?

-Global Vector - am guessing that if Global won't install, neither will vector. Or will it stand on its own?

-FTX Full Fat regions - I'm guessing that's a no go due to FTX Central

-FTX Airports - They require regions. I'm guessing no

-REX - is just texture

-FSDT airports - ?

-Flightbeam airports - ?

-FlyTampa - ?

Thanks a lot for looking at this. If it's already been addressed, please forgive my laziness.

Anybody notice there is no mention on Orbx or REX forums of P3D 2.5? Maybe deleting posts? Perhaps just as well, if they aren't ready for the new version of P3D.

Concerning FTX Central. It will crash!!

Try this on your own risk!!!!!!! FTX Central is looking for the terrain.cfg. In v2.4 it was in the main sim folder in v2.5 LM moved the terrain.cfg into this folder C:\Users\Rob\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2 All you have to do is copy the terrain.cfg to the main sim folder. Install all your ORBX addons and copy the terrain.cfg back to C:\Users\Rob\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2 thats it ;)

OK, therefore to do a clean install of all the FTX, have to re-download all their updated products.

They have clearly stated that we need to wait for the updated Orbxlibs, which contain the new FTX Central. It is FTX Central that manipulates terrain.cfg and scenery.cfg, so no need to update individual regions, airports and other installers.

I add info about MTL into P3D config. Also add dll.xml line to start IvAP. Works good. Now flying PMDG 777 over FRANCE. http://webeye.ivao.aero/c/ELO13

Lukas,

thanks for this info. Just wait for ASN for upgrade to v2.5.

Or setting a symbolic link from the Prepar3d folder to the terrain.cfg in the new location could also do the trick. Haven't tried as I will wait for the new Orbxlibs which should be available in a couple of days, I hope. But maybe someone wants to give it a try...
