UT2 does work fine in P3D doesnt matter which version - have to go over my notes but takes a little bit more than just installing it

 

All it needs (in version 2.4) is a copy of the Estonia Migration Tool, and adding an additional "SimObjects......" statement in the Prepar3d.cfg file. If you are moving an existing UT2 install from one version to another, you also need to make copies of the following files and folders in your User/Apps/Roaming/Flight1Software/Ultimate Traffic 2 (I am trying to remember this location from memory) folder......

 

Databases folder

PowerPack files folder

repaints.txt file

UT2Interface.db file

Yeah this Situation is little bit confusing and I think it is a missunderstanding.

I now changed it to True and it performs in my first flight better.

But I will test more.

Sorry if this is not the right place, but I also have FS Global 2010 for mesh and am wondering if this also needs updating? I cannot find a support forum on the PILOTS website.

I've just successfully installed Tongass Fjords X by moving the config files around, so that's not an issue (you just need to remember to move the files back to c:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\ afterwards). As regards the GTNs, however, I'm afraid they are tied to specific versions of core DLLs, so we'll need to wait for F1 to release an updated version.

They've just confirmed in their forums that the gauge needs to be patched, and should be ready in a couple of days.

In order to reduce reloading of textures when changing views you change the following line from:

 

UseGlobalTerrainView=False

TO:

UseGlobalTerrainView=True

 

 

And does not it seem strange that something so important was not included in the final version?

It is included. You just have to switch it on!!

In addition to those 4 folders above, AFTER uninstalling v2.4, make sure you delete the folder that contains the Prepar3d.exe ... very important because the uninstaller may not delete the main folder if the uninstaller finds other folders it doesn't know about (i.e. like any 3rd party add-ons).

Hi Rob any idea why Ivao install (just o get the MTL and use with Vpilot ) is not recognizing P3d?  it is there another way around?

I add info about MTL into P3D config. Also add dll.xml line to start IvAP. Works good. Now flying PMDG 777 over FRANCE. http://webeye.ivao.aero/c/ELO13

LM deliver the product with it set to False, Rob has set his to True, possibly in order to test what it does.

You have three choices here, you can either set it to False or set it to True and find out what it does for your system or just leave it alone and forever wonder what it does.
