February 22, 201511 yr Best freeware? - DC-3 by Manfred Jahn - Plan-G Obviously - Airports of Norway - ORBX Iceland - WoAI
February 22, 201511 yr There are two great freeware options with FSUIPC: the ability to monitor VAS and have a complete log showing VAS usage and FPS during a flight; and it's ability to trap 99.9% of all G3D.dll crashes which is a real nemesis in FSX. I do not use or need any of the other features. Best regards, How can we do that please Jim? Dave Taylor
February 22, 201511 yr How can we do that please Jim? See page 3 of the AVSIM CTD Guide on how to monitor VAS. Best regards, Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! February 22, 201511 yr NL2000, is a complete freeware scenery of ALL of the Netherlands. Includes airports too. Duco
February 22, 201511 yr See page 3 of the AVSIM CTD Guide on how to monitor VAS. Best regards, I checked page 3 and enabled the VAS monitor, however I must have done something wrong. I get a .5 Hz stutter and when I disable it, the stutter is gone. Could it be that it is writing to the log at that frequency? Ric Elmore
February 22, 201511 yr It must be writing to the log at that frequency. You might check with Pete, the developer of the FSUIPC and see if he has a solution. I wrote the instructions based on his guide. Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! February 24, 201511 yr See page 3 of the AVSIM CTD Guide on how to monitor VAS. Best regards, I looked on the CTD forum page 3 but could not find what your referring to Jim? Dave Taylor
February 24, 201511 yr It is in the Guide highlighted in red at the top of the forum, Here is the section you need Monitor VAS – The freeware or registered versions of the FSUIPC utility will allow you tomonitor the amount of VAS remaining during a flight session. This might be valuable introubleshooting Out-of-Memory (OOM’s).Startup program and then enter the Add-on Menu and select FSUIPC. Once FSUIPC is open, click on the Logging Tab and enter 024C under Offset and select S32 under Type. Selectwhere you would like to have the usage displayed. The FS Window is for Full Screensessions. The FS Title Bar is for Windowed Mode. AVSIM recommends you also check theNormal log file as this provides you information on how much VAS you had to start out withand then logs usage throughout your flight.
