March 3, 201511 yr Ah, you're right, Penz, my bad; I did't realize that there had been another hotfix released. Confirmed that ASN doesn't like this version - reverting back! Cheers, P.
March 3, 201511 yr Can anyone confirm ASN and Fsdream are working fine with t his 2.5.12944.0?... Thanks Pedro Pedro Rodriguez

March 3, 201511 yr I don't get the breaking of every add-on every time. Poor planning if you ask me. Some 3rd party (not all by any means) perform processing outside of what is supported in the SDK/PDK, as such some 3rd party will need to accept that responsibility, this is not something LM can "plan for". LM may add to the SDK/PDK in the future if those 3rd party products that work outside of the SDK/PDK communicate their needs and those needs don't cause a major re-work of P3D. What some 3rd party do is done to obtain a competitive edge or to overcome a limitation of the SDK/PDK ... I'm not going to expand on the details of what they do and it's fragile nature. But for now, those 3rd party that have this dependency are well aware of what they do and as such will need to evaluate their choices because LM isn't going to stop updating P3D and I look forward to v3.x in the near future. Cheers, Rob.
March 3, 201511 yr Just a heads up. EZDOK is broken with this hotfix :( I'm using the 1.18.5 BETA (http://www.simforums.com/forums/ezca-1185-beta-available-for-download_topic51089_page1.html) It's not completely broken as TrackIR works (in EZDOK) and all the saved views work, BUT there are no transitions anymore between the views and you can't 'look around' holding down the middle mouse button. I even tried running the config.exe after 'installing' the hotfix and it's still a no go. So, back to the previous hotfix for now. Just thought I'd let you know. Neil Andrews. March 3, 201511 yr I am staying hotfixless until everything gets sorted out I'll ask the impossible question, how long do you think that will take, week, month 2 months?
March 3, 201511 yr ASN works in a limited way. Just don't click the OK on the "Error!" Message, drag it down out of sight to the side or below the start bar. Then go select ASN weather in the weather dialog. It works until you leave the region you are flying in. I think ASN needs a restart if you fly to another area. But at any rate, no need for a revert to use ASN, somewhat. March 3, 201511 yr Also gonna wait - just have this sim where I want it now - I don't get the breaking of every add-on every time. Poor planning if you ask me. Stating that they break "every add-on every time" is hyperbole, and hotfixes are standard practice in software development. If LM waited until P3D was 100% perfect before each release, there would be no releases at all... Ever. I think LM has proven itself to be professional and responsive to our needs. Aaron Thacker
