April 12, 201511 yr It's funny because Carenado will get criticized if they release an aircraft too fast (they're just pumping them out to make money) or if they take a while to make one.... People aren't angry that they might take a little bit longer to release. People are more than willing to wait for high quality releases from other developers. They're angry because DESPITE them taking a bit longer to release they still have dozens of bugs and they end up releasing an unfinished product anyways. Tired of Streetlights everywhere? April 12, 201511 yr The fact is that nobody but Carenado knows. We are assuming its to take more time to fix "dozens of bugs", but we really don't know. If its to build "hype" and anticipation, it's getting a little old. Do they really think they can expand their audience of buyers with this approach? I just don't get it. --WH
April 12, 201511 yr They're angry because DESPITE them taking a bit longer to release they still have dozens of bugs and they end up releasing an unfinished product anyways. Yup, exactly that. It's one thing when they release something like the PC-12 after 2-3 months with a rather embarrassing list of bugs/inaccuracies. It'll be a whole entirely different level if they take something like 10-11 months to develop a high-tier business jet while throwing around buzzwords like Navigraph and fully-simulated Proline avionics and STILL have the same (if not more) amount of bugs.
April 12, 201511 yr Wendall, I would agree to your comment. But it doesn't explain the "hype." If they are working on getting out all the bugs, then it would be best IMHO not to advertise until you are close to releasing the product. I've seen enough pretty screenshots. --WH

April 14, 201511 yr I use the Proline 21 with the FMS-3000. Great piece of equipment. If they model it correctly and it works like it should I am game. And the real unit can go direct-to. April 14, 201511 yr Pretty sad if it truly took a year to produce a half-assed product. Of course, it apparently takes 2-3 months to create quarter-assed stuff. ;b Regards, Todd Harrell Computer: i7 3770k @ 4.6 GHz, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, GTX 1070 GPU, 750W PSU, 250 GB SSD (Win 7), 500 GB SSD (P3D), 2 x 1TB HDD, 28-inch Viewsonic 1080p monitor Sim: P3Dv3

April 14, 201511 yr Author Carenado has a golden opportunity with the Hawker to silence their critics. I hope they use it. I would be ecstatic if they do. I just got back into flight sim recently, after nearly a 10 year break, and due to the influence of coworkers I thought Carenado was the cream of the crop. And boy do they make some pretty airplanes. I think most of their products work well for their "target audience". All my coworkers that sim, and rave about Carenado, are all RL pilots to some degree. And they don't see the same issues that we do here. I guess its all perspective. Do I think Carenado will ever make PMDG level study sims? Nope. I would love that though. There just isn't anyone doing high level simulations of business jets, and at least we have Carenado trying to fill the void to some degree. Please Carenado, do this one right and take hold of that niche in the market. Matt Bernard20+ Years Commercial/GA A&P/PLST
