They actually use beta testers?

They actually use beta testers?

Hard to tell. But they do claim that "real pilots" test their planes at times. Not sure what that means exactly.

Well, we continue to wait to see what over a year of development time is going to yield.

Hell, I'd love to know. Some companies are somewhat open about who tests for them (look at PMDG/Aerosoft), but I've never once seen anything from someone who tests for Alabeo/Carenado.

They never called me...

I'm a stickler for details though, and although some of C's planes are what I'd call "adequate"- they don't really reflect what the real plane would do. What's the point of that! I think, PMDG or not, an aircraft simulation should simulate what the real world counterpart would do, at least to some accuracy.

PC Pilot got a real Citation 550 pilot to review Carenado's S550:

space requirements... do not allow me to fully express the totality of my disappointment with the inaccuracies that infest this add-on.

a lot of advertised "real"... but in my first 5 minutes... I made a list of 26 items that weren't even close...[some] easily identifiable by even a hobbyist... inverters and AC switches having no function whatsoever... turn off a single generator and both... fail light illuminate

This does NOT bode well for their Hawker 850XP unless there's a different team working on it.

I don't know what "real pilots" they use to test/develop, but they're either ignoring them or they have no experience of the aircraft being developed. They probably mean one of their painters has flown a C152, because that's a Cessna too

I really hope my concerns are unfounded because I want a hi-fi business jet in FSX, but I will continue to see Carenado as an FSX puppy farm until proved otherwise.

All you people buying this on day 1, may the FS spirits have mercy on your souls.

I'm not sure we're really Carenado's target audience anymore.  Somehow, they have plenty of really excited people on their Facebook page.  It'd be a miracle if this manages to be better than previous releases.

What I really want is Flight1 to get the Citation Mustang working in FSX:SE...

Well I would love a study level Sim - I spend a lot of time in the NGX, Q400, etc.

Face it - just ain't going to happen.

But - I buy Carenado and hope for the community to add the spit and polish.

Besides - if they were study level AC Carenado's available list would be about 4-5 aircraft long (likely at the first Mooney or thereabouts). AND, a whole group would be clamoring about how long they take, etc.

So, either put lipstick on the pig, pucker up and close your eyes; or, laugh of those of us that do (or better yet - just go fly).

Yes, and for those that don't yet own a PMDG NGX, for a frame of reference, you can buy one for $69.99.

Have no idea what Carenado is going to charge for the Hawker..... :P

If it's any less than the Citation I will be shocked beyond comprehension.

Judging from what we can see of the Hawker, it will probably be slightly more than the Citation plus the FMS "addon".

Just a guess. The long final approach continues...

That is what I would like too...   the Mustang in FSX-SE and P3D

Can we start a petition to try and persuade them ?

Everybody here say 'Aye'

It's Flight1's own problem for rejecting P3D. Undoubtedly some of the flight simmer market demand for the Mustang is going to get eaten up by Carenado now. They could have had the only supported Cessna Mustang with its excellent FDE but chose not to port across.

As for the Hawker, I can't see it being worse than the Citation. I have some quiet belief that Carenado is trying hard to improve as far as the simulations go.
