Jim, Thanks for the $10 coupon off the KingAir for previous FSX users,  I'll use that towards the Mustang for P3D if that becomes a reality

Cheers

+1 for a F1 Mustang. Looking for a good-looking corporate jet with something approaching realistic flight dynamics.

Chillblast Core i5 14600KF Liquid Cooled RTX 4070 SUPER 32GB RAM. Internet: 1 Gig Fibre. HoneyComb Throttle & Flight System.

UK PPL since 2006 current on PA-28, C-152, C172, Decathlon, C-42 based at EGHP.

Thanks Dave.

FPS do take a hit, I estimate about 5-8 FPS between switching from Spot View to VC.

If you have ever used the Flight1 Cessna 182T, the G1000 is similar.

There's also a lot more included than I knew about before purchasing:

  1. Android App for controlling the MFD from your smartphone
  2. Maintenance functions with modeled engine and system wear (i.e. brakes wear down)
  3. Engine failure due to mismanagement

Compared to the Carenado B200, there is no comparison... and although the Carenado doesn't have the Flight1 G1000, the FPS hit is comparable in the VC between the Flight1 B200 and Carenado B200.

Compared to the RealAir Turbine Duke v2, the Flight1 B200 is more dated texture-wise, but systems-wise it's like comparing apples to oranges (G1000 vs Analog w/GPS).

My humble and honest opinion is if you don't want to use the G1000, obviously this bird isn't for you.

anyone can describe how the digital displays looks? They looked blurry in my FSX plus the FPS at Fsdream airports...any reports of flying at KLAX KSFO will be appreciated.

thanks

Pedro

I am not sure since I got refund from FSX I will get refund again with P3D in case is not performing appropriately...I am not going to uninstall ORBX base and all my Fsdreams over the B200...thats for sure....

But I am still curious since I like the flight model G1000 etc

I do have a very decent PC actually... I74790k  Nvidia 780 16 gb ram ....etc

The digital displays aren't blurry at all for me.

Could you have been using an AA method that introduces blur such as FXAA or SGSS-AA?

My PC is an i5-3570k OC'ed to 4.4 Ghz, 8GB of DDR-1600 and a GTX 970 and performance is on par with the Carenado B200 for me.

Same here.... Not blurry..

+1 for the Cessna F1 Mustang. Purchased for FSX on release day back in 2008 - favorite aircraft flown until my move to Prepar3D.

Spent many a sad day trying to port her over to P3D. Will gladly buy her again - just hope Jeff will let me keep my original Mustang serial # 510-0123...

If its a true study sim am very interested if its a "Carenado" no thanks.

Carenado and flight1, in regards to the B200, cannot be in the same sentence. Thats like putting a little league team against the Yankees.

I bought the Flight1 B200 this morning and it's a fine aircraft, just as I expected. The B200 lacks the higher speed and cruise altitude capability of the 350i, is fun to fly nonetheless.

Overall I find the large G1000 displays a bit too dominant, I definitely have a preference for the 350i's Collins Pro Line 21.

The suspension modeling on the B200 is fantastic, as you can see in the videos below. Please note that the Milviz 350i is WIP and currently in Alpha.

Framerates on my system are excellent, they don't dip below 30 fps in-cockpit and I get well over 60 fps when viewed from the outside.

I can highly recommend both of these King Airs!  ^_^

I corrected that for you, Martin

+1 for the Cessna F1 Mustang. Purchased for FSX on release day back in 2008 - favorite aircraft flown until my move to Prepar3D.

The Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang is probably the best aircraft that I have ever had in a flight simulator as far as fulfilling my own personal requirements. I prefer jets to props, but I also want one that can fly low and slow effortlessly, can land on short airstrips, has a great view from the cockpit, looks good both inside and out, has great flight dynamics, sounds good, and has a nice G1000 display. The Mustang has all of these attributes (I could operate it from hard strips only 2000 feet long in FSX with only the pilot on board, and a 50% fuel load). That means the vast majority of airfields in my rather large UK and Ireland database.

There are just one or two items that I would like to see addressed for any P3D version....

* The FSX version had a problem when landing on certain types of ground. The touchdown and rollout sound effects never worked properly on grass, tarmac, or macadam surfaces. All I heard was a quick "bounce" sound, and then total silence.

* Version 1.08 in FSX broke the "500" altitude callout. That needs to be sorted out.

* There is a slight graphical issue on the underside of part of the panel (like zigzagging lines). I know that this wasn't only on my PC, because I have seen it in YouTube videos of the aircraft.

Installed and did 3 laps in the pattern at KLAX and KSNA.  FPS around 20 but the flight was smooth (also had ASN running and there was an overcast layer at LAX, so 20 FPS isn't bad at all).  However, after loading my first flight, I got a VAS warning before I even started the aircraft. Second flight, P3D crashed to desktop after departing KLAX. Third flight, I flew a lap around KSNA, landed, then immediately got a VAS warning.  Very strange, because I've never had any of these problems with any addon, so I'm thinking something is awry on my end.  Overall, the aircraft handled very well.  My only niggle with the G1000 is the location of the control pad, which obviously isn't Flight 1's fault.  There is the Android app which I haven't tried yet. Hopefully I can figure out these VAS warnings.

Todd Harrell

I am going to make one more response here and it is directly related to louisdecoolste.

There is a reason you rarely see me post and | or engage here at Avsim and it is because of "some" prevailing attitudes such as the above post.

Our products are worth it, and no one has a gun to anyone's head. Lockheed Martin never gave you a discount because you were an FSX user or a P3D 1.0 user.

If you feel you disagree with us and the fact that we have to pay for redevelopment and ongoing support. Then vote with your wallet. This is exactly one reason why I even hesitated to bring this over to P3D.

That is all from me.

Regards,

Hello Jim,  nice to meet you      Delighted that you brought this over to P3D,  i and so many others have been waiting for this.  Pity that you only post on an odd occasion due to some bad attitudes.

If I could be so cheeky and ask a question,   do you have any extra plans or further updates for the Superking,  in the future maybe?
