RSR: "A year from now [...] the first previews of our upcoming 7_7 project"

Featured Replies

I just edited the original post to state it's from the JULY-AUGUST 2015 issue of PC Pilot.

Interestingly enough he also has this to say in the same answer...

RSR: [...] We will be hard at work wrapping up our first major airliner for X-Plane.

emphasis on 'major'. is the DC-6 a 'major' airliner?...hmmmm!

I think that was alluded to somewhere else as well. That the DC-6 was more a 'getting to know X-Plane', type experiment

Would be really happy with it being a 787, 767 or 757 don't mind which.

Just build a 767 and be done with it :P

CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11

I recall one of the PMDG guys saying that the 757/767 most likely won't happen since those airplanes are slowly "dying out" - which I'd have to disagree with but oh well...

With kind regards, Bogdan Misko.

I don't know about you, but I could quite happily look at this for hours on end! :D

HUD - check.

Massive MFD's - check.

Imagine if they included fully working EFB's?

ha, fair point there Ebs...I read somewhere that lots of moving switches put a strain on FPS. I think I remember hearing there was a limit where performance rapidly deteriorated.

I wonder how much of a killer 7 screens, plus everything else would be.

Mind you, it's only the same as the A350 and A380. I wonder if PMDG would model the fact they seam to catch on fire every other flight :D

Hey wait, what about the Woodpidgen?

I'm silently still waiting myself.  But I know better than to ask for updates or a release date.

Check out my repaints and downloads, all right here on AVSIM

I still stand by my point - given the tight relationship between Boeing and PMDG, and the fact that they are aiming to be a major airline training partner, I'm convinced the 787 is the logical following aircraft.  A 767 remains possible, but I'd bet on the 787.  Also, whatever it turns out to be, first day buy.

I was looking at that picture and thinking also about a efb but that and circuit breaks would probably break fsx but how about a 787 for xplane they are already doing the DC6 with circuit breaks in x plane so why not do a 787 and quality wings wont do anything for xplane they are probably going to stick with fsx and p3d and max is right they do have a tight relationship with boeing so i agree a boeing 787.

well i didnt see one number the 4 .... what about a 747 classic ????

They said they won't do any old stuff...and we're already getting the -400 and -8. Those two should be a nice contrast to each other.

We need a quality, in depth 757 already. The 757 is still in service with lots of airlines and a very common aircraft to see in the skies. The only two produced for FSX right now is the Quality Wings which is good but it is a little dated and is only 'lite' when it comes to systems and the Captain Sim version is, well, Captain Sim (need I say more?).

787 does seem most compelling but maybe it's going to be the 737 MAX?
