September 29, 201510 yr Are you suggesting that in the avatar mode I can walk through an airport scenery, go through immigration, meet and brief my multi-player crew staff members, have a briefing meeting with first officer and second officer, perform walk around and walk into the captain's seat of my 777 aircraft ???? That would be awesome Are there TSA agents that molest the passengers and flight crew as they are patted down?
September 29, 201510 yr Since I have been given the go-ahead, here's a screenshot of the ATC menu in v3: Thank you! Looks great indeed, a lot like the FSX one but more minimalistic. Much better than the ugly window in 2.5.
September 29, 201510 yr For what it's worth, V3 is Windows 10 comaptible: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6322&t=113549
September 29, 201510 yr For what it's worth, V3 is Windows 10 comaptible: http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6322&t=113549 That was mentioned in the announcement page as well. Though I think it's weird that they're listing Windows 7 as the recommended OS. Does anyone know why? Maybe due to potential incompatibilities with add-ons, or are there still issues with Windows 8.1/10?
September 29, 201510 yr I was in Avatar mode, which is why there was no eletric system. Are you able to listen to ATC in avatar mode? That would come in handy for plane spotting.
September 29, 201510 yr Commercial Member Are you able to listen to ATC in avatar mode? That would come in handy for plane spotting. Hmmm, you've got me wondering. I don't normally have AI traffic on, so I'm not actually sure. Off to test this! Edit: Yes! Also, I guess the electrical message from my previous screenshot referred to the airplane itself, not the Avatar. Brandon Filer
September 29, 201510 yr ATC window looks great. Really nice; clean and minimal just how I like a UI .
September 29, 201510 yr That is so coool!!! Nerd-vana!! Now I want to reprogram him to check the tires, pull the chocks, etc, etc,. and go flying. regards, Craig. I was refering to the avatar.
September 29, 201510 yr Thats really cool Brandon. Does make you think though, if there's an option to dress your Avatar how you see fit, Hot day, shorts, shades, Cold day woolly jumper and hat, the possibilities of immersion are endless. Love the ATC window
September 29, 201510 yr Are there TSA agents that molest the passengers and flight crew as they are patted down? Don't get me started. Greg Montey "Because with great power, comes great responsitriligence..."
September 29, 201510 yr @ Poppet...woolly jumpers aren't my thing, I'm more of the ones-ey kind of guy in the winter time!! Cheers, and have a great evening. Craig
September 29, 201510 yr I wonder if that avatar is somehow locked or linked to the aircraft...? I mean, you load a plane and then you can switch to the avatar right away or does the plane have to support this? Obviously things like opening the fuel tank and things like that will have to be implemented by the aircraft developers... I just wonder how these things are related to each other and if such an avatar would work right away with for instance an A2A plane.

September 29, 201510 yr Commercial Member Avatar is not connected to the aircraft. Technically you could fly an aircraft to an airport, park it, exit as an avatar, walk over to another aircraft parked at the airport, climb into it and fly away. Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69
September 29, 201510 yr I'm more of the ones-ey kind of guy in the winter time!! Keeps everything supported  Avatar is not connected to the aircraft. Initially is it only for Default aircraft Ed ? Or is it an all rounder
