Woah!  Now THIS is interesting - from "Boss" at the MJC Q400 support forum:

"The Q400 does not yet support the Prepar3D V3.0. Although it is possible to fly the aircraft, the known issues are:

1. No cabin sound
2. Stuttering of the aircraft from the outside view when in the air

When the appropriate fix becomes ready we will publish the announcement.

UPDATE: After some emails exchange with the Prepar3D development team, it appears that the functionality which is needed by Q400 was taken from the latest Prepar3D version by mistake. It is anticipated that with the future Prepar3D V3.0 patch, Q400 will become fully usable under Prepar3D V3.0"

It's the update - functionality . . . needed . . taken from latest Prepar3D version by mistake -

So what other add-ons that aren't working properly might be affected by this functionality - whatever it is . . . quite possibly more than just what the Q400 needs?

The only two aircraft I fly in V 2.5  are the Q400 and the Aerosoft Airbus, both of which have problems in V3 according to their respective forums. When these issues are  permanently  fixed, I will decide if getting V3 is worth it or not. As of now, for me, it would be a step backward.

FTX Vector will come very soon, here is a quote from ORBX support forum (on 13th Oct 2015):

The final Vector release build has just been upload by PILOT'S today for a new combined v1.3 installer that will install into P3Dv3 as well. You won't have to wait much longer, thanks for your patience.

My flights in P3D v3 are on hold at the moment due to one or two issues. Fortunately, the version 1.3 update (and DreamPack 2) have just been released for Assetto Corsa

i installed the airbus with the latest beta migration tool with the latest hotfixes and havent had a single problem with airbus in p3d v3.i can recommend anyone wanting stability and great vas handling to move to p3d v3.i am able to fly the pmdg 777 from payware to payware airports and not oom, it really is that good compared to v2.my framerates are 60 on the flight deck and over 100fps outside the plane with a 6700k and a 980ti.i am shocked how much cpu usage has been dumped onto the gpu,it works great.i was able to get rid of fsx and fsx-se for good.

david G, interesting pics, but what's the aircraft?  and if that's the GTN 750 in the middle, it looks nothing like mine - I don't see that layout  . .    am I missing something?

OK it's a Phenom 300 so presumably the Prodigy with Garmin x000 - but did the GTN 750 fit come as standard or is it DIY?

Thanks

I never had a VAS or OOM problem with 2.5, and it runs smooth as silk, so I prefer to wait for the installers rather than using migration tools, etc..in order to force  something into the sim.

Does replacing the stock gauge help with FPS any? That center screen is a major FPS hog in the Phenom. Also where can I get this mod at?

AS of this moment - the GTN750 is *NOT* working in V3. What you see is just the first part of the update - it will display but it DOES NOT function properly.

It should only be a little while longer before the official release.

AS Airbus A318-A321 work fine using the AS installer, just point to v3 installation.

Same for me.  No problems that I've noticed so far.
