Has anyone tried the iFly 747 v2 in Prepar3d v3 ?

I havent bothered as they have said it wont work and you need to wait for SP1 to be released for the plane which is "coming soon".

Yay!   Any word on Vector?

Nothing yet sadly :(

Hi

Where would I find the folder with the Pilots data in it?

Thanks Mike

Hi,

well i guess were you installed it in the first place. I had mine installed next to my P3Dv2 in a folder called FSGX2010 but i just moved that folder to another drive and then enabled it in P3Dv3

Hi

Thanks, and yes that makes sense, but  I don't remember.  However, if still have the 4 disks so presumably I could just re-install but to PdD v3? I realize that Pilots has announced v3 compatible installers, but if  using existing folders works for some users, then we have to wonder what are the changes in the new v3 compatible installers. I am reluctant to download 22 GB of data with my slow internet service if the existing disks will work. Anybody have any suggestions?

My system specs: Intel [email protected] - 5.2 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080, 32GB  DDR4  RAMNoctua NH-D15 CPU Cooler,1TB Seagate SSD, 4TB Seagate HD, Windows 10, Asus 32 inch monitor, Saitek Yoke, Throttle Quadrant, Rudder Pedals and Trim Wheel     Sims: MSFS2020      Preferred Aircraft  Black Square Bonanza, and Baron, A2A Comanche, PMDG DC-6, Red Wing L1049

. Anybody have any suggestions?

I don't think you will need to download the entire data again.  When they updated to allow installation into 2.5 they released a new installer, downloadable from the website.

They do seem to be taking their time.  To be honest i am getting quite frustrated with Pilots, they released the updated installers for flightsimstore customers, but we DVD customers seemingly have to wait until hell freezes over, no update, no support, nothing!  I would never use them again!

I'm not going to bother. PMDG's beauty will be out in 3 years. :Tounge: Not long to go...

I'm sure the only difference is the v3 compatible installer. Mesh is mesh basically since the FSX SDK came out and nothing's changed with mesh through any iteration of P3D that I'm aware of. If it were me I'd paw through some folders and find where you installed it initially, when you find it just add it to the scenery library in v3 and you're good to go without flushing another 22 Gb of disk space for a redundant installation.

 @AviatorMan,

   To quickly find where you have installed your Pilots Mesh. Open your Windows Control panel/Uninstall or Change a Program.

Right click on the "Name" tab, and select "More" then select "Location". Scroll down the list of programs until you find your specific scenery entry.

  Or you could do a search under the start menu for your specific addon.

  Regards, Craig

Ok Guys Active Sky Next has been updated - now installs perfectly

===========================================================

Hi all,

B5765 has been posted, in both UPDATE and FULL VERSION formats, available from our downloads page (www.hifitechinc.com/downloads).

This update should resolve the remaining issues related to v2.5 -> 3.0 upgrades, 3.0 only installations, and networked configurations with 3.0.

Changelog:

- Adjusted ASConnect default install path search order to P3D v3 vs V2
- Miscellenous installer fixes and adjustments related to P3Dv3
- Added detection of new P3Dv3 install + P3Dv2 paths set in ASN = Notification message that paths should be checked/set to the intended P3D version
- Added new v3 variant of xgauge.dll for new path/registry locations
- Added new ASN client handling to support installation of proper xgauge.dll variant
NOTE: P3Dv3 users should uninstall/reinstall XGauge via the XGauge Installation Wizard (TOOLS menu) to ensure that gauge files are properly updated

thanks much for the update.

just been to rex website to check the links, totally absolutely confusing, full of service packs, hot fixes integrations with various confusing numbers.

I wish I could get access to full installer for rex4 and soft clouds. Don't mind if it takes 10 days to download, but the web of hotfixes service packs needs reset with full installer else folks gona be downloading the wrong thing and messing up their sim, and many reports of this happening already with rex for p3dv3 and even v2.5.

Rex solutions have always been messy, can we have full installer pleaseeeee, save me a migraine.

can anybody please provide me link to what to download on rex

I have soft clouds as a single product

and also rex4 as single product

the website updates is full of confusing names like rex4 soft clouds integration , don't even know what the heck that is.

installed both in may, not used sim since then, and now trying to setup for p3dv3

I must I have done as many installs and pc builds as most simmer, and on every install rex solutions have always been frustrating, however HIFI solutions always very very refreshing, the update never confusing, installation fool proof

thanks much in advance.

looking further into this maybe its possible just to use about box in rex, and let it choose the correct update, I assume this is what all the warnings on the website is suggesting, can anybody confirm this

cheers

@Simmer2050,

You can always download latest full installers from your vendor account where you purchased REX.

Also, we built an automatic check for updates and download protocol within the REX application.

thanks much for the update.

If you want to install updates as Tim stated you can go thru each update process after you have loaded rex4 and soft clouds base progrmas thru the rex4 menu system - be the easiest for you
