Sign me up if it's a real high quality simulation of the MD80. Would be nice to get different versions also. (i.e the 87)

Call me cynical but I don't know where the Flight Sim community will be in 2 years. If this product was going to launch later this year, I'd be excited like I stated earlier in this topic. But when they admitted it wasn't even alpha yet... will it even be for FSX? They would be smart just supporting P3D.

The MD-80 is a totally different bird to fly than the 717. The 717 is more like flying an MD-11. The MD-80 has a very unique cockpit and flight characteristics. I will buy this for $60.

Friends,

After many hours of looking at the possibility of updating this venerable work horse, and trying to put a team together, I'm sorry to report that it seems like an insurmountable task.  But it was certainly worth trying.

No one is more disappointed than I am.

I appreciate everyone's input.

That's really too bad to hear. I love the MD-80 and have spent the greater portion of my childhood flying on it to Disney World year after year. Thanks for gathering our input Dave. I hope that someday this bird will bless the P3D skies.

Cheers,

Rob

Ohhhh nooooo..

I love the leonardo MD. It's my favourite aircraft but i can't fly it on P3D.

It's a sad day.

Oh well, I'll just keep enjoying it in FS9. I really don't mind the dated graphics because the functionality is amazing.

Don't give up. Are you having trouble finding a modeller? If so, PM me and I will send you a suggestion but given how small the community is I am sure you may have tried already.

Sorry to hear that it probably cannot be done, but I definitely appreciate that you made the effort to bring this project together! The Maddog is one of my all-time favorites.

Yes.I think the maddog is a very good product. However,I hope someone to develop md-90.(Apologies for my poor English)

I would pay $80 for a totally new Leonardo Maddog MD80 0r MD90. For upgrade $40 or a little more is okay. One of the most realistic plane, no doubt.
