June 23, 20169 yr Sign me up if it's a real high quality simulation of the MD80. Would be nice to get different versions also. (i.e the 87)
June 23, 20169 yr Call me cynical but I don't know where the Flight Sim community will be in 2 years. If this product was going to launch later this year, I'd be excited like I stated earlier in this topic. But when they admitted it wasn't even alpha yet... will it even be for FSX? They would be smart just supporting P3D.
June 23, 20169 yr The MD-80 is a totally different bird to fly than the 717. The 717 is more like flying an MD-11. The MD-80 has a very unique cockpit and flight characteristics. I will buy this for $60. Robert Schumacher My PC: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW, i7 6700k OC'd to 4.6, ASUS Rog Maximus VIII Hero Mobo, 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM, 2 Intel 750 Series SSDs, Creative Sound Blaster Z.
August 21, 20169 yr Author Commercial Member Friends, After many hours of looking at the possibility of updating this venerable work horse, and trying to put a team together, I'm sorry to report that it seems like an insurmountable task. But it was certainly worth trying. No one is more disappointed than I am. I appreciate everyone's input. August 21, 20169 yr That's really too bad to hear. I love the MD-80 and have spent the greater portion of my childhood flying on it to Disney World year after year. Thanks for gathering our input Dave. I hope that someday this bird will bless the P3D skies. Cheers, Rob Robert Schumacher My PC: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW, i7 6700k OC'd to 4.6, ASUS Rog Maximus VIII Hero Mobo, 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM, 2 Intel 750 Series SSDs, Creative Sound Blaster Z.
August 22, 20169 yr This is very disappointing. I was really looking to flying a maddog in P3D Follow me on : Instagram See my Trailer: A Year Of Flight
August 23, 20169 yr Ohhhh nooooo.. I love the leonardo MD. It's my favourite aircraft but i can't fly it on P3D. It's a sad day. Miguel Leandro
August 23, 20169 yr Oh well, I'll just keep enjoying it in FS9. I really don't mind the dated graphics because the functionality is amazing.
August 24, 20169 yr Don't give up. Are you having trouble finding a modeller? If so, PM me and I will send you a suggestion but given how small the community is I am sure you may have tried already. Marlon Carter - AVSIM Reviewer
August 24, 20169 yr Sorry to hear that it probably cannot be done, but I definitely appreciate that you made the effort to bring this project together! The Maddog is one of my all-time favorites. September 26, 20169 yr Yes.I think the maddog is a very good product. However,I hope someone to develop md-90.(Apologies for my poor English)
August 21, 20178 yr I would pay $80 for a totally new Leonardo Maddog MD80 0r MD90. For upgrade $40 or a little more is okay. One of the most realistic plane, no doubt.
