  • You are preaching to the choir. I'm in and I already know how to fly. I'm like Fr.Bill, $15 is not stopping me from taking a look.   Regards,   Ray

  • I spend that much for a decent lunch or dinner. I've preordered!

The icing wasn't real in the video it was just a rendering and it says in small print "Not in game footage."  I was surprised as well and thought the video looked good until I realized it was mostly

Thank you;; I went there...and its trying to sell me the stuff.. I already bought it (pre release) I don't see a link to download. I see a button for "Install Steam"

I see a green bar in library saying I already have the Flight school

Are you doing this through the "Steam" program, or the website?  You must install the Steam client to use the software.  If you are on the website, you need to "install Steam" first.

Thank you Allen.. Yeah.. I bought the Stea edition of FSX and I never installed it.. this is my first Steam install.

I then went to the liberary and clicked on "Preload" downloading it.

Thank you.

Great, glad you got it!  I apologize for not mentioning that in my first post.  I've enjoyed Steam for years, so didn't cross my mind at first you might just be on the website.

Take care

Fair enough. Thank you.

You can probably start exploring the file structure, but it should really be like the one of FSX

Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."

Which could indicate whether we can slip in any FSX content...but I suspect it will be locked down...

Cheers

...

The preload does not reveal the file structure, you just get a bunch of files that look like they might be archives of some sort, and presumably encrypted.

Steam download/cache files are encrypted. They will show when game is released. It will then install and folders created. A preview showed that it is the same file structure FSX has.

The video on Steam immediately says "not actual gameplay footage"?

Seriously?   :Shame On You:

I have downloaded and all.   They are zipped encrypted files.

If you try to access these, you will receive a penalty,  it will turn all your Steam 64 Bit Games into 32 Bit Games  and  Yes X-Plane that includes you too

Welcome to 2 months ago. There has been more gameplay footage since then.

Let me guess.... you want 64bit.
