August 2, 20169 yr Haven't noticed any VAS increase... I (surprisingly) saw a performance increase. Flew from KJFK-KIAH (and especially in New York area FPS was better) and KLAX to KSEA (also a slight performance improvement in Los Angeles and Seattle). Other than that, it's quite impressive land detail now... looks so much better IMO Best regards,--Anders Bermann-- ____________________Scandinavian VAPilot-ID: SAS2471
August 2, 20169 yr BTW for anyone who is expecting the exe file to be in part 1, it actually is in part 4! And all files must be in one folder to install it fyi Surprising they didn't include a "read me" file clarifying these points. I worked it out for myself, but it could perhaps cause some users a little confusion.

I did a bunch of testing yesterday and it seems that VAS is almost totally a function of Vector when it comes to Global, Vector and LC products. I have basically made several Vector profiles for different types of flying (GA or IFR) and I think if you try different things and then fly you will get a good sense of what you need to add in and what can be turned off. Vector settings also have a huge impact on your framerates. Mark CYYZ

August 2, 20169 yr Rich, Hi Unfortunately I am not that lucky again. I downloaded ORBIX Open LC NA from FSS. All four parts downloaded with out any incident. I found EXE.File in Part 4th. Activation completed and installation started and stopped with the following error. http://imageshack.com/a/img921/8663/hGfaxI.jpg What am I doing wrong? Thanks Ahmet Sanal "Time you enjoyed wasting, was not wasted"
August 2, 20169 yr Ahmet, are all your files located in the same directory? You have to copy all the individual files, 1 through 20, and place it in the same directory as the .exe. The PDF does not explain this... Matt King
August 2, 20169 yr I am sure the instructions are either at the top of the page with the download links or in the registration email from FlightSimStore They are not in the emails but, you are correct, they are at the top of the download page. My mistake - I was probably just too eager to get it installed to bother reading the top of that page, assuming the installation would proceed in a similar manner to all the other Orbx installations!
August 2, 20169 yr I saw a video on you tube someone posted with the DFW area.... Don't want to be a party pooper.. But DFW area had way too many trees with this new LC I wish DFW area had so many trees. I am talking about this video Maybe I am wrong.... I do see some aerial shots of DFW with similar trees.. Hmmmm... Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
August 2, 20169 yr Thanks, That is the problem I will copy/paste all files into 4thfolder or Do I need to make a new folder? Ahmet Sanal "Time you enjoyed wasting, was not wasted"
August 2, 20169 yr I will copy/paste all files into 4thfolder or Do I need to make a new folder? Doesn't matter. As long as they are all in the same folder when you run the exe. Regards, Kevin LaMal "Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings" - Shapiro2024

August 2, 20169 yr Ramon, "Not on my PC" Do you mean you don't have two NA1 & NA2 folder ? Where is located "Open LC NA Lights entry" file ? Did you install VECTOR? Thanks Ahmet Sorry I meant to state I was not on my P3D PC at the moment. Yes I have vector installed, but will be removing it shortly. If I remember correctly there are 3 entries for OpenLC NA: NA1, NA2 and OLC_Lights (From the ORBX site the path is ORBX\FTX_OLC\OLC_NA_LIGHTS) I'll report back in a while, when I get home. Cheers.
