October 10, 20169 yr I guess there is no formal way to obtain 3.3.5 installers as LM no longer keep them officially. Any other legal ways available? 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
October 10, 20169 yr I guess there is no formal way to obtain 3.3.5 installers as LM no longer keep them officially. Any other legal ways available? I keep all my install files, I still have 2.5. You never know when installing an upgrade causes a major problem.
October 10, 20169 yr Use PTA to make them darker .. I created a quick animation to show the differences.. in the one with the "baseball" field in the lower left, this is bare 3.4.9 updated (i updated a clean 3.3.5) with updating the client + the content.. Note the shadows and how they are normal and dark as with 3.3.5.. Then the other two shots are of my full install which in the one is just the client being updated and in the other shot its the client + content (for a sanity check).. in all cases its using a "Clean" scenery.cfg file For those other two, GEX makes the ground textures look different (i never reinstalled GEX, i dont use ftx global), but those two "full upgrades" have tons of addons installed but not active, and you can see rex + asca active in the sky compared to vanilla update. So i'm unsure what it is about updates and other changes, but i want to say that those changes (which addons/changes) did something to the shadows to make them harder to see? Confused.. edit: i guess the only thing that could explain the clouds shadow difference, aside from addons (that arent active too), is maybe the rex / asca cloud changes that make the shadows different with the other two frames Asus Strix z790-e; 1000 watt evga SuperNova Plat; 14900k AC_LL 0.55 adp -0.050 253/253/355 CEPoff (CB-1pass 39200 80c, msfs peak 92,avg 60-78c, astrorender 95c,room76F); 64GB(dual 32) cl32 6400 at 6400 xmpII F5-6400J3239G32GX2-TZ5RK, Asus Ryuo III 360mm; Thermaltake v51 Case; Gigabyte 4090 OC; VR-Crystal; Dofreality H6; Astrosite
October 10, 20169 yr I'm pretty sure he already realized that Bob  And there are many people that don't.
October 10, 20169 yr Full re-intstall of 3.4 for me. No issues whatsoever flying in the AS Airbus. Seems smoother to me, but perhaps that just placebo.
October 10, 20169 yr So called "full reinstalsl" always feels smoother :-) 9950X3D, X870E ROG CROSSHAIR HERO, Corsair Dominator Titanium 64GB DDR5-6000 PC5-48000, ASUS RTX 5070Ti 16GB, 9100 PRO 4TB Samsung ,990 PRO 4TB Samsung, AX1600i 1600 Watt 80 Plus Titanium ATX, ASUS 360 ARGB EXTREME 360mm Liquid CPU Cooling Kit.
October 10, 20169 yr Not a half baked client only update. I suspect that for many, herein lies the problems you are having. There is nothing half baked about that. For the inner workings you need neither the content, nor the scenery package.
October 10, 20169 yr Yeah maybe, but bottom line is that it was not a true 100% 3.4.9. It is a partial at best. Plus if this client update is simply on top of another previous client update which all sits on top of multiple Windows upgrades and updates, well lets just say that you could (should) realistically expect issues. On Facebook there are many, many people that updated client only and are not having any issues. That is the way P3D was designed by LM, , so that one does not have to do a total reinstall each time an update is released. Now if someone wants to format their HD, reload their OS, etc. etc, and reinstall everything, I guess they like doing things like that. I don't like fixing things that aren't broken.
October 10, 20169 yr im not having any issue people are complaining about ,,almost 8 hrs with 777,landing and taking off with high setting ,, but without any terrain shadow No Im not lucky ....i am blessed  Giogio A.
