[01OCT16] PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies II is moving to beta testing!

Featured Replies

I am really, really looking forward to seeing some videos.   I cannot wait to "hear" and "feel" that cockpit being alive.   The 747 is just a different flight deck to anything else really.  It is a little like the Matrix - you can't be told what or how it is, you just need to experience it for yourself!

Werner,

Videos coming soon.  We placed no restrictions on the beta team for images (Except asking them to please not show anything that is known to be broken so we get a chance to fix before anyone freaks out in public...  LOL) but we asked them to hold off on video because we are still adding some interesting features that are being tested.

The sound scape created for this product so far exceeds anything we have ever done- i think you will be astounded.  More detail on it later...

Robert,

This is exactly what I wanted to hear lol!   Thanks so much.   This is why there is the big buzz around the new releases, you raise the bar every single time.   This product especially is very near and dear to my heart as I have said so many times before, this is my all time favourite airliner, for me nothing comes close to it!

Pete (Froogle) said in his latest news update he had a video ready to go and was just waiting for the nod to release it.

How well will the hydraulic system be simulated?

Fully. We've even implemented the option that some airlines have that allows you to have an AUX on the #1 side, too (not just #4).

Nice for the blue ships :-)

Curious if the two safe guards are simulated regarding flap speeds and manoeuvring.

That sounds great also could the option to not order taxi lights like BA do be an option? - David Lee

How well will the hydraulic system be simulated? If leaving off HYD 1 and AUX 4 for instance, will the steering and brakes for push-back not work?

Will turning them all on before push-back then effect the duct pressure for engine start?

Simplified questions but i'm sure you understand.

Simone,

Steering and brakes for pushback?  Man I don't know what kind of airline you are flying for- but if you need steering and brakes for pushback- you may want to seriously consider a career change.  :Tounge:

Yes the auxilliary pumps are modeled.  So is fluid volume flow, heat accumulation and dissipation, pressure fluctuation, cavitation, foaming, quantity loss effects, transfer of fluid between systems, work differences based upon fluid flow rates (each of AC motor pumps, air driven pumps and auxiliary pumps being modeled....)

We have even provided an option that you can have all four demand pumps be air driven pumps, like UAL does...

More options and more simulation than you can imagine...  But yes- we did include all of the core functionality such as the aux pumps as well.

Hello pilots, how to get PMDG 747-400 support fs9 or fsx?

Patricio Valdes

trisho0,

You need to have your full name in the signature.

I heard Kyle has a habit of throwing people into the "why you no follow rules" dungeon. So en garde.

Fs9 versions are discontinued. Pretty sure no support will be provided to you in that platform.

To most people the sky is the limit. To those who love aviation, the sky is home.

greetings,
