November 16, 20169 yr I currently use the sim controls for looking around (a simple setup). I use the hat switch on my joystick to look around, and 2 buttons to move forward and back through the cockpit views. All I would currently want from this program would be to make looking around with my hat switch smoother, and the transition between cockpit views (with the same 2 joystick buttons) smooth as well. Along with the the added ground and air turbulence effects, etc...... If the program will do this for me, I'm ready to get it. If someone can let me know if this would work, please let me know. Thank you. EDIT: To add to my question, I perfectly happy (I.E.) with the default cockpit views in the pmdg 777. I would just like the transition between the views smoother. Is this possible, and easy to achieve, with chaseplane. Would it make the default views smoother, or would I have to go though a long setup process (adjusting the camera) to recreate the default views, just to get the smoother transition ? Thank you for any info.
November 18, 20169 yr Well, no answers, but I purchased it anyways, because I have faith in fsfx to do things right. After an evening of use, I find one thing doesn't seem to work, I'd like one thing added, and one thing removed. Then it'll be everything I wanted. Impressive for an Alpha. As to what doesn't seem to work, when you open the mouse button menu, clicking on the button that's supposed to open the main chase plane window does nothing for me. It's not killer, as I can just alt + tab to get the chase plane window, but I assume the button should work. The only view missing (for me) is an outside spot view, like the default sim camera system uses, so I can pan all around the aircraft with my hat switch. It's the only outside view I ever needed, and look forward to it being added asap. The one thing I'd like removed (or changed to an option in settings) is the forced change to widescreen view in the sim. I don't have a widescreen monitor, and when it's activated, the sun and moon look like footballs, and everything is squished. It's not a huge deal to turn it off again in settings, but I don't like having to do it repeatedly. Otherwise, I could not be happier with it. With the few changes I hope are made, it will easily become a must have (for me) for any sim, just like precipFX.
November 24, 20169 yr Just bought it too... Can someone share a good preset for the 777 or Aerosoft A32X? Or is this not possible at this stage? I saw on the homepage that online sharing of presets is planned for the next Alpha version. Maybe someone already has good settings for the 777 - would appreciate it! Thanks a lot!
November 24, 20169 yr Will ChasePlane be able to "disconnect" from the plane and not follow it? In X-Plane you can do this by default. It's really handy especially when watching replays of your take off or landings, you can hit the C key I believe, and the camera will stop following your plane and remain static, which you can also be able to move it around freely for that perfect viewing angle/shot. This is one feature I would love to see, since I love to watch replays of my take off and landings. November 24, 20169 yr This is one feature I would love to see, since I love to watch replays of my take off and landings. That is one of the things I miss quite alot. Sometimes its great just to mess about and do airshow display type flights at an airfield and then play the display back. I loved doing that with FSRecorder. Haven't done that in two years.
November 24, 20169 yr Yes, definitely. I would love to have an all in one app that also can do things such as record/replay videos as well. Like FSRecorder. Hopefully we will see a full-fledge application with all these amazing features in one app. I believe a good camera app should have all these features. Being able to disconnect from the camera while ingame or replay mode is a huge thing and I hope it will be in ChasePlane. November 25, 20169 yr You can import EzDOK pre-sets into Chaseplane. Someone recently released a very good package called 'PMDG made EZ' in the library. I have used it and works well. Just bought it too... Can someone share a good preset for the 777 or Aerosoft A32X? Or is this not possible at this stage? November 25, 20169 yr Damn, and I did it all manually yesterday :-) But it wasn't very hard to configure and the program itself is running really nice. Easy to install, pretty easy to configure. The turbulence / wind / head movement on landing effects are very good, Here is the clear advantage to EZDok in my eyes. Also the camera switching is more "stutter free" then with EZdok in my feelings. Overall a good program, but pretty expensive for the advantages if you already have EZDok. Would I buy it again? Definitely - if I haven't had EZDok. With EZDok already in the library? Well... I think so, but then it's not a "must have".

November 26, 20169 yr Follow the news  Not so sure about this....the first post on the EZDok forums 2.0 was from 2012....and the most recent post on that thread is over a year old. I have CP now but not exactly holding out for EZDok v2. Mark CYYZ
November 26, 20169 yr Actually the Ezdok 2 in closed beta at the moment. Even with some previews on YouTube (not sure if it's allowed here to link it). As I know author is going to prepare announce soon - hopefully we can see it also on Avsim.com Maks Turchanov
November 28, 20169 yr Well ezdok ignored most of us for yrs ! so it is time for a new program where the devs seem to be open and interested in a dialog with there custmers Peter
November 29, 20169 yr Well ezdok ignored most of us for yrs ! so it is time for a new program where the devs seem to be open and interested in a dialog with there custmers Peter If I remember right the developer is a single person and he had serious health problems for a long stretch. I am on the fence, do I save my money and buy a scenery I never bought but could enjoy, like FlyTampa Toronto, or buy this? EzDok is ok but filling my event log with erroneous errors.
