December 28, 20169 yr I have followed the hype and i have bought it today. This is my opinion : Sea water looks great, sun and sky colors too, contrails are ok but i think it could be better. About the sun, still has a horrible line when it is near the waterline in the horizon, but i think it is a P3D issue. FPS drop is little but noticeable. I have ASCA+ENVTEX selected. But at night i have horrible bars in the sky texture, this is the pic. Anyone got this?
December 28, 20169 yr "bars": mine are even worse at dusk to night. But I am not sure this is caused by envtex. If I remember correctly they have been there before envtex textures came into play. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

December 29, 20169 yr Hey, how does the ASCA Integration work ? I did everything related to the manuall ( choose asca Folder, activate asca Integration) but will it now use the envtex textures dynamicaly or only the set of textures which i installed with ENVTEX. I believe that it installs all ENVTEX textures that you selected and then ASCA picks them as conditions match for them. You can go into the environmental options in ASCA and see what's there and see what conditions match each one...and make changes to the matching conditions if you so choose. December 29, 20169 yr Mmmm.. i am a bit dissapointed with performance. I have around 14-17 fps with full and maximum cloud coverage. Before it was about 20-25 fps with same configuration. About the water, try medium quality, visual is far better than ultra. My envtex cfg is set3 for waves and 1 photoreal for the rest.
January 5, 20179 yr Commercial Member Hi ! I wish you wall a happy new year and many hours of flight, with Envtex hopefully  Mmmm.. i am a bit dissapointed with performance. My envtex cfg is set3 for waves and 1 photoreal for the rest. What shader setting did you use? The high quality setting is pretty heavy on fps and that is normal, we recommend using High performance, it will not reduce the quality compared to the default shaders but it will enhance clouds without any impact on fps. About the bars in the sky textures this is unfortunately an FS/P3D thing as stated by Harry. Maxime TOGA projects

January 5, 20179 yr I have not tried your shaders yet cause i have PTA with Maxime's preset. Maybe the fps drop is for that.
January 5, 20179 yr I also use PTA with the 10 Days Preset i think this is also from Maxime ? brgds C. W. ,Ryzen 9 5950X @H2O , 32 GB RAM DDR4 3600 Mhz CL15 , Corsair MP600 Pro Watercooled 2 TB for P3D, Samsung SSD980 1 TB for Addons and Crucial MMX500, Red Devil Ultimate 6900 XT
January 9, 20179 yr I would like to get one question clear, if I've been using Rex4+ASCA and P.T.A should I be returning everything to default textures before installing ENVTEX+ASCA and P.T.A preset to start again? Cheers Rod.
January 9, 20179 yr doublebubble, all I can say to you from experience (a bad one) is that anytime you install a program that changes out stock textures, that program backups stock textures, whether they are actually stock or already replaced textures. Sometimes involving shaders also. so you can surely how original P3D shaders and textures can get lost. For example when you installed ASCA, i believe it backed up stock cloud textures, and Rex did the same thing, PTA backed up shaders along with some of the other programs. It all gets mixed up and if you didn't record what actions you took, your in over you head. what I had to do was re-install the P3D client. Back up textures and shaders with the real P3D default textures and shaders. Until I reinstalled the Client, PTA would never accept all my shaders as being the correct ones. I could be wrong in remembering some specific things of what happened, none the less, things can get fouled up fast. One thing you can do is after you in disable or uninstall Rex is open up PTA, check the loading log at bottom, that at least will tell you if you still have the correct shaders. If you don't, you will have to reinstall the Client.
