January 19, 20179 yr Hi Folks, Like your product a bunch - really improves ASCA... Question - are tire skid marks/tire tracks on runways from your package ? One issue - I regularly fly the Lear 35A and I noticed marks on the runway looked like they were from a 777... Regards,Scott
January 19, 20179 yr Commercial Member Hi Scott, Thanks for the kind words on the product  Indeed we add such effects in the sim, but if I am not wrong FSFX immersion add such effects too so if you use it for the Lear35 you probably see the immersion package effects. However as the effects we add is generic it can indeed cause such things if FSX/P3D consider the Lear35 as an heavy aircraft. We could possibly work on detecting the aircraft size/type and adding a corresponding effect instead of the generic one. As a temporary solution you can do this: Under the [Effects] section in the aircraft.cfg.Place this line: touchdown=fx_tchdwn_s, 1 This way you'll still have the tires tracks on the runway but it will be the small variant. Hope it helps  Maxime TOGA projects
January 19, 20179 yr Hi Maxime, I do have that effects package loaded as well... Let me try what you posted... Thanks so much for the VERY prompt response... Regards,Scott
January 19, 20179 yr I also want to say thank you for ENVTEX. I had a really nice flight again yesterday in the PMDG 737 from Manchester to Salzburg, touching down during sunset... With VATSIM coverage all the way, nice low clouds which I broke through at about 2000 ft above touchdown... What a brilliant view! What a brilliant hobby :-) PS: I saw yesterday that there is the version 1.05 available. I downloaded it but had no time to install. Are there release notes somewehere online? Thanks! And do I simply reinstall ENVTEX 1.05 or do I need to uninstall 1.03?
January 19, 20179 yr Hi Stefan, I think you will find your answers here: http://togaprojects.proboards.com/thread/102/envtex-1-5-released You will need to login to see the post. Regards, Mike

January 19, 20179 yr Thanks Mike! I registered but I am still not allowed to view the ENVTEX stuff. :-( After you register, there are further instructions to request access to their forums: http://togaprojects.proboards.com/thread/65/envtex-board-verification-requests
January 19, 20179 yr Same here Thanks Mike! I registered but I am still not allowed to view the ENVTEX stuff. :-( You will have to put your serial number into the respective field in your forum profile AND post in the existing 'Envtex Board - Verification requests' thread. This will give you 'customer' status. Only took a few hours for me EDIT: never mind, just got Ninja'ed by Greggy_D

January 19, 20179 yr I have probems accessing your forums. I bought the software, registered on your forums. But it keeps saying I don't have access. Is the Simmarket installer the new version? see above for instructions how to get access to the locked part of their forums. Yes the simmarket installer is 1.05. Make sure you uninstall the old version as thats a requirement. You also need to reset the license, its all described in their forum. Best you gain full access first before you install 1.05, there is a post on the forums that explains the update procedure in detail

January 20, 20179 yr Currently using P3D 3.4 + REX TD 4 + REX Soft Clouds and ActiveSky Next. I went to Simmarket to upgrade to ActiveSky 2016 (they just learned their lesson about why EA and other companies choose the following year with new products ;-) and saw Envtex. Really intrigued! But I keep seeing people talking about ASCA with this. I'm perfectly happy with Soft Clouds and it sounds like the thing people love about the integration is that it fixes ugly skies in ASCA. So, if I was to use REX Soft Clouds + ENVTEX + ActiveSky 2016, am I good there? Is ASCA a necessary component here to get the full benefit?
