lets not forget the FSL 320 costs $99.99,the Aerosoft 320 costs 39.99 euro,the FSL 320 cost,s 2.5 times more than the Aerosoft version,and I have read that the P3d vers will cost more,so maybe 3 times the cost,makes me wonder if it will/can really be 3 times as good,but like most things in life you makes your choice and pays your money

FSL A320 is the single best add-on aircraft I have ever been flying in home flight simulation.

And I am saying it from the perspective of having actually every quality payware airliner there was for all versions of MFS (including Leonardo Maddog and Majestic Q400 - my favourites so far).

 

Comparison between Aerosoft and FSL airbuses? There is, in my view, no point in doing it.

They are two different products created for different targets, offering different features for (very) different prices. Fair enough.

 

I have made over 50 flights with FSL A320 (nothing else) and cannot stop. It's a highly addictive drug (you have been warned).

I discover new eggs every day. I learn something new every day. And I haven't even started using failures (I'm not ready yet)...

 

A new version came out yesterday, bringing a lot of new cool stuff.

 

My only complaint would be it is very demanding performance-wise (FPS).

But the number of things simulated here does not make it a surprise.

Plus, unlike me, many of you probably have the latest CPUs/GPUs, so it should work fine.

 

I wish all my P3D colleagues (I'm on FSX) happy flying while it's out (soon).

your post, and comments by a great Brazilian friend and ATPL who also is using this add-on are extraordinary mportant at a phase of my simmer life where I retain only three sims, after having dropped all of my fsx / p3d / X-plane stuff...

 

I was tempted to even go Airlinetools A32X, but it is very expensive, even more expensive than Aerowinx PSX was. I seriously consider re-installing fsx:se or p3d to run just the FSLabs A320. I do not care about shadows or any fancy graphics stuff, and will probably run it on my good-old i5 2500, where IL.2 Battle of Stalingrad and DCS World run very acceptlably and are my "modern Sim Graphics" confort. Other than those I use ELITE Flightsim ( PC version beta 9 ) and graphics wise it is very limited - meant to be used as a professional IFR training tool!

 

So, I believe I'll wait for user comments after the p3d version get's released, and decide if I'll stick with fsx Steam or invest ( again ) in a monthly p3d license basis...

Why do you need to pay for a monthly P3D licence -- have you considered the student licence? 

 

I bought Aerowinx, at one stage was considering building a 747 -- I still keep it however because there are many sim builders out here in Sydney with 747s so that helps with the training

I can't apply for one of those, and paying $190 for the sim is out of question - maybe when it goes 64 bit, provided it shows future in it....

Yep, I would really appreciate that one ( I used Aerowinx PSX for a good while :-), before getting bored with long haul flights and the lack of proper World viuals, or simply runway lighting systems replicating their rw counterparts, like I have in ELITE for instance... I coldn't care less about buildings, cars on roads and boats, .... but at least airport and particularly rw lighting systems are a mandatory requirement... IMO)

FS Labs A320 with 2D panels is extremely slow and sluggish. They need to bring out a fully optimize version (networkable external displays) which will probably take some time to develop. They also need to write all the hardware drivers which will be a considerable effort. 

 

In the meantime Jeehell FMGS has full support of all the major hardware vendors and it is free, and Prosim A320 will be releasing in a few weeks (January 3rd).

No, I became a VC only simmer.

So I would not be competent to make such a comparison.

 

From what I read in the FSL forums, those who use 2D only have better performance. Which seems logical.

Think  you meant  to say vc is slow  and  sluggish, 2d  panels  have  better  frames  rate  in any type of  addon aircraft

I mean 2D panels is slow and sluggish (especially with terrain and weather turned on) with undockable, and resized panels (which is what you want to do for a home cockpit). 

 

But perhaps that is just my computer; looking to upgrade to an i7-2600k soon.

I am also really looking forward to that bus, I hope it will not be to expensive . I love the PMDG Planes, but they only produce Boeing planes so far. But there is my question (I know there are many questions like this one out there): Is it worth the money, for just one plane? If you compare to Aerosoft, you could get 4 airplanes for 50 bucks... But anyway, I will also get the FSLabs Airbus!

If you want the most complex and realistic A320 for FSX/P3D there is no question in my mind that the A320-X is the best out there. I am not type rated in the A320 (Boeing type rated guy here, but Airbus lover at heart), but I have quite a few hours commuting back home in the jumpseat, the sound effects are absolutely spot on. Their FBW implementation is accurate (hand flying, single engine failure, systems failures and much more).

There are a few things missing (SEC FPLN, etc.) but they are going to add it with their upcoming SP. All in all a great product.. go get it
