December 21, 20169 yr This works a bit differently, as it has more control over deletion of AI aircraft at varying distance within the user's reality bubble. I use these settings, which are in line with Pete Dowson's initial suggested values and the capabilities of my hardware: [Traffic Limiter] TrafficLimit=100 GroundPreference=70 AirportPreference=20 NearerPreference=70 I use your setting but I dont have many planes at heathrow anymore. Look: http://fs5.directupload.net/images/161221/6q72ulkq.jpg What should be my setting if I want more airplanes in my near surroundings but in other airports very less.

Look: http://fs5.directupload.net/images/161221/6q72ulkq.jpg What should be my setting if I want more airplanes in my near surroundings but in other airports very less. Change the 3 settings under Traffic Limit to '0' and see if that helps. I had the same issue using the defaults of 50. It appears zeros will strictly delete the furthest aircraft and keep the closest which is all I am interested in. December 22, 20169 yr I'll have to mess with these additional settings some more. Setting them to zero will definitely fill the airport but numerous aircraft seem to be spawned on final approach very high and end up doing go-arounds. I never saw this happen with AI traffic manager. I'm wondering what settings would most closely resemble what the Traffic Manager does....I guess I'll have to experiment some more with it! December 23, 20169 yr Author Anyone who misses the mapping and tabular displays of all the active AI aircraft in the Traffic Optimizer can replace that feature by adding in the Traffic Toolbox dll to dll.xml: http://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv3/LearningCenter/environment/living_world/traffic_toolbox.html That makes the FSUIPC approach more or less equivalent to the TO approach.
December 23, 20169 yr Commercial Member Users of SIMstarter NG will be able to configure these settings within a Simulator ConfigSet, see: This feature will be available with the next version of SIMstarter NG. More FSUIPC settings will follow. This allow you to use different FSUIPC settings for each ConfigSet (and Profile). Very useful. December 29, 20169 yr Hi there, i tried the new feature with UT2. It works like a treat. FPS good VAS also good. Tested it on a flight from BDO´s EBLG Liege to FT EHAM. At first i accidetnly limited the traffic to 800!!! My frames were at 25 in bad weather @EHAM in the Carenado DO 228. Back with 100 AI aircraft and the NGX it was back to 30 FPS  However did someone noticed a stutter every 5-7 minutes with UT2? Didnt try MT6 for the time. Im using P3Dv3 HF2. Thanks Greetz MJ My youtube blog________________________Prepar3D v2.5/v3
December 29, 20169 yr i tried the new feature with UT2. It works like a treat. FPS good VAS also good. Sounds good. I am now considering getting UT2. I have FSX and P3Dv3.4 (HotFix2). Is your UT2 installed in FSX? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
December 29, 20169 yr Author As an interesting aside, with MyT 6 or WOAI set the sliders in P3d to 100% and the AI Limit in FSUIPC to 100. This gives roughly the same level of AI traffic everywhere except in really unpopulated areas.
December 29, 20169 yr Good tip Jay, I was trying to find that sweet spot with MyT6 / FSUIPC. Works very well. Jd
December 29, 20169 yr However did someone noticed a stutter every 5-7 minutes with UT2? Didnt try MT6 for the time. Im using P3Dv3 HF2. Thanks These type of solutions won't and never has worked well with UT2, because of the way it injects traffic. If a traffic optimizer solution deletes traffic, UT2 will just reinject it, which is what causes the stuttering. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
December 29, 20169 yr Sounds good. I am now considering getting UT2. I have FSX and P3Dv3.4 (HotFix2). Is your UT2 installed in FSX? Hello Vaughan, i dumped FSX when P3Dv2 came out so no i dont have it installed. There are occasional stutters in the sim with UT2. Reason is the way UT2 works. Tom just gave the answer just like i thought. UT2 injects the traffic, the limiter deletes the unwanted AI and UT2 injects again which will cause a stutter. I would like to try it with MT6 and SKAI AI just to see how they perform. If you dont have UT2 i suggest to wait. Greetz MJ My youtube blog________________________Prepar3D v2.5/v3
December 29, 20169 yr If you dont have UT2 i suggest to wait. Ok, Will do. Are they going to release a P3D version ... in 2017? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
