...an old United livery?  They didn't update the old UT2 liveries?!  That's a major dealbreaker for me.

are you kidding you can change the liveries and models easily. the most important part is are the bugs fixed in the engine? in the old UT flying over the oceans all your AI traffic disappeared. going up to the menus reset all the traffic. incorrect flight levels of AI. and etc etc.

Interesting... are these issues fixed then?

As the dev doesnt seem to bother to answer questions on the Flight1 forums, i'll try my luck here, would be great if someone who bought it already could shed some light on those:

1. Can it be used on a networked PC (the GUI at least) or only on sim PC?

2. As it supports SIDs/STARs, is it using updatable navdata?

3. Given that traffic is calculated outside of the sim, how is the VAS and FPS compared to BGL based AI traffic? Roughly the same or significantly improved?

I find it a bit suspicious that there are only screenshots from the GUI, but no ingame screenshots showing the quality of models and liveries. Guess i'll hold off until the first reviews are online, 50 quid is a bit much for +10 year old AI models imho

Bugs is one thing, lack of updated liveries for that price tag is simply BS. If that is really the case it's highly disappointing and I'm definitely not getting this program.

You do not want to buy the program that is your decision. But your reason does not make sense. Something that can be changed easily is not a good reason. If people are coming here to bash the product next time they should find some good reasons.

UT Live seems very nice to me. I trust the guys of UT2 in flight1 and I don't believe they would deliver something new without really updating the engine. Now, the liveries part is annoying I should admit. And I did a mistake I can't restore now. I uninstalled UT2 before I installed UT Live and forgot to backup all my add-on models and liveries from http://www.juergenbaumbusch.de/
To install again is a pain. Manually install model and repaints, editing aircraft.cfg etc...What is good with this AI models is that the quality is top and they have updated custom liveries and winglet versions that I can't see in UT Live, for example Easyjet A320 winglets or Jet2 752..:/ Does anyone knows any source or way to download many airlines in a big download from this source?

People come here to express opinions.

For you tweaking expensive program is fine - for me it isn't, I prefer out of the box solution. If I'd like to tweak I'd get WOAI. It's not about bashing the product, but it's not a thread only for UT Live fans. There will always be a dose of criticism and flight simming world is the only I know where it's such a big deal for some.

And preserving right to say if my reasoning makes sense or not... I'd say that's much more aggressive attitude than criticizing the product.

Meh dont waste your money.

Dont get me wrong they have great ai textures. As i have ut2 myself.

But using real live traffic by nico.has changed my sim experience for the better.

Its way more superior.

Something that can be changed easily is not a good reason

If we talk about 'easy things' then why dev did not do that ?

So many years and we still have to stick to poor quality models and outdated textures ?

Thank you very much! I mostly fly in Europe, so I will try to redo which airlines are missing and maybe create a shared folder somewhere so people can download.

For me, liveries is a problem but not a so big one as as far as I know there is not a single AI package that has up to date liveries with the quality of FAIB..So in the real world, tweaking seems necessary. At least if you are keen at seeing your favorite airlines at their current state.

i dont like traffic jumping around and disapearing and re- appearing like nico's app---very unrealistic

I see almost 4 pages about Nico's app and old textures, nobody can give an short first impression of UT Live?

Are YOU kidding me? Sure it's 'easy' to swap out a model. However, finding, downloading, testing, swapping, testing, fixing, testing takes a HUUUUGE amount of time (I know, I spent countless hours over the last few weeks updating liveries and missing airlines etc in UT2.) Don't tell me it's 'easy' lol, it's a massive undertaking.
