June 3, 20179 yr Moderator There are probably a lot of "refinements" that may not be available. Getting a workable product out to their customers was a top priority, I imagine. Expect refinements and changes as they update. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160

There are things that HiFi is doing now with AS16 that just wasn't possible with ASN. ASN works just fine with P3D V3.
June 3, 20179 yr Do we have to reinstall the HD ASCA file I wonder? Anyone seen anything about this? i7 3770K HT, 8GB RAM, nVidia 980GTX, Win7, P3D 3.4, FSG mesh, UTX, GEX, ST, ASA16/ASCA, NickN optimized
June 3, 20179 yr Okay, is there anyway to tell if ASCA is working in P3D v4. I have it installed and I pointed it to my P3D v4 directory, but I'm not sure if its working. I know ASP4 is working because I can see the status on the top bar when my sim loads but not sure about ASCA. Also, is there a way to clear those simulator entries? I added another one, but there seems to be no way to delete it. I have duplicate entries for my P3D v4 path now. Goto: \Users\(usrname)\AppData\Roaming\Hifi\AS16CloudArt\GraphicsOptions.cfg Backup the file, the delete the file and start ASCA. There will be a new file generated... Check the mapping and adjust ;-) André
June 3, 20179 yr awf, thank you so much! :) btw is anyone use the HD textures for ASCA? Is it worth it? If it makes a noticeable difference in 4K and doesn't hurt performance much then I'll get it. June 27, 20178 yr been running AS16 with my P3Dv4 now for a few weeks so decided to get ASCA - but have a few noob questions - 1)noticed there is a HD.exe as well as the base install - is it worth running this and what exactly does it do? (note running my P3D with a 4k monitor in 4k resolution and getting good fps) 2)Have installed the base ASCA - its downloaded with SP1? - are there further updates/SP's for ASCA and if yes how do download/install them?(there appears to be no be auto update options) 3)This may have been touched upon before but my core ASCA seems only to have picked up on my P3Dv3 and not my v4 - I therefore manually added my P3Dv4 folder using add simulator (pointing to the main P3Dv4 folder) - is this correct and how can I check if its working or should it be picking up my P3Dv4 automatically? - note my make active option next to the P3Dv4 directory seems to be black (am unable to select v4 maybe - the v3 is white) 4)What is ASCA actually doing - is it overwriting any of my default P3D textures sop should I back anything up? 4)Finally my AS16 seems to be suggesting there is an update available for it - do I just need to download this from the website and install over my existing install - no re-registration required (again seems to be no auto - update option).
