December 6, 20178 yr Used Ezdok in Fsx and now Ezdok v2 in P3Dv4.1...I am very satisfied and I have no need to change Regards, Richard Portier MAXIMUS VI FORMULA|Intel® Core i7-4770K [email protected] x8|NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080ti|M16GB DDR3|Windows10 Pro 64|P3Dv5|AFS2|TrackIr5|Saitek ProFlight Yoke + Quadrant + Rudder Pedal|Thrustmaster Warthog A10|
December 6, 20178 yr I use Ezdok2, essentially because it is great in turbulence, head and body movement effects. When I hear that CP has all kinds of similar effects (including gear, flaps drag etc.) I will buy it for comparison. View switching is abundant in Ezdok2, but takes time to get used to their interface. Regards,
December 7, 20178 yr I had Ezdok for about a year, and now have Chaseplane - it's a lot easier to setup for sure. It does everything I need. With enough effort, either one can be made to suit your needs. Mark Mark Trainer
December 7, 20178 yr I have both and various quirks which weren't answered regarding ChaseP it's off my drive, Ezdok v2 is way better both in terms of its ease of use and the number of presets available from it's previous incarnation. The latter is why I moved to ChasePlane. Those issues have now been addressed so back to Ezdok v2. Ryzen 7 5800x, 64gb, 7900XTX 24gb
December 7, 20178 yr In what way does Ezdok depict turbulence and other motion effects better than Chaseplane? Is it just a personal preference or is there some technical detail in the innards of Ezdok that make it superior in this area? Thanks. Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." December 7, 20178 yr Opus here too. Very realistic, but not as easy as CP to set up. Bruceb Chaseplane uses to simulate the effects of shaking the same mechanism that was used Ezdok Camera V. 1. If I'm not mistaken, there was used model shaking generated using 6 oscillators. In version Ezdok 2 model shaking generate more than 40 oscillators along 6 axes of the camera. Nick Bebyakin / Handmade cameraset - Ezdok v2 and Ezdok v3 EZdok Software. December 7, 20178 yr After having used both, it's another vote for Chaseplane from me. I haven't looked at Opus for a while but isn't it still a combined weather/camera addon? If you disable the weather part you don't get the camera effects. A lot of people are really happy with Active Sky. It's arguably the best weather engine available. Opus weren't interested in splitting their camera section into a separate addon, so that's why EZDOK v2 and Chaseplane are the only options. Neil Andrews. Fight or Flight - YouTube | Twitter

December 7, 20178 yr For simulating the motion of a real aircraft, EZdok can't be beat, in my opinion. Really feels like I am flying.
