Thx to Jeffrey, SODE isa a VERY important contribution to our hobby.

Guys, don't forget to support him with a few bucks, he well earned it :-)

Just be advised, SODE for Drzewiecki Design Sceneries won't work anymore, there are tons of error messages in the SODE logs, just a short example :

[10:46:13.963] ERROR SODE.XML : <Stand> AfcadGateName Attribute 'GATE C 120-139' is not valid!
[10:46:13.963] ERROR SODE.XML : <Stand> KEWR, GATE C 120-139, 130 contains invalid data! Stand is not added.
[10:46:13.969] DEBUG SODE.XML : SDX Decompilation of 'KJFK_X.sdx' successful.
[10:46:13.986] ERROR SODE.XML : <Stand> AfcadGateName Attribute 'Terminal 7' is not valid!
[10:46:13.986] ERROR SODE.XML : <Stand> KJFK, Terminal 7, 12 contains invalid data! Stand is not added.

Apparently  Drzewiecki Design developers need to update all their sceneries.

Did you post this on their forum?

I tried to, but their forum was down for maintenance. The SODE developer himself also informed them.

Just a quick check of my around 70 Addon Airports leaves only Drzewiecki Design Airports (in my case NY Airports, Baku, Warsaw) with these problems, and one by Jetstreamdesign (LFRS Nantes). Just these show the above mentioned multiple SODE log errors. Consequence in P3D is 'no triggerable objects found'.

All others are fine (e.g. Flightbeam, Justsim, UK2000, Taxi2Gate, Digitaldesign, MKStudios, etc)

Apparently the new SODE Version doesn't allow anymore wrongly defined XML/SDX, and the Drzewiecki Config files unfortunately seem to have many of those.

Are there any sceneries that require 1.6.x yet?  I think I'll leave 1.5.3 in place until I need a newer version of SODE for something, and maybe Stanislaw will have it sorted out by then...

This is by design, this developer chooses to convert the xml files to encoded format (sdx) to prevent users from making their own modifications.  So it a door position is off slightly you cannot fix it yourself.  The solution is to turn off (add ".OFF") to the sdx files in C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\sdx\DrzewieckiDesign.  One has to do that anyway if you prefer using FSDT KJFK and Imaginesim KLGA.

I don't think so, but this from the Changelog sounds quite worth to use 1.62, at least on bigger airports to reduce stutter on approach :

In the past, SODE would just throw in all objects it found in a certain radius into the simulator. While this works perfectly for smaller airports with few SimObjects, larger projects with hundreds of SimObjects (jetways) could saturate the simulator’s SimConnect server and this would result in a stutter until all objects are loaded.

The only one that I know that says you have to use 1.62 is PacSim Reno-Tahoe. If the only scenery that are effected is the DD ones which I own Seattle and Washington, than I can live without those gates animating seeing it helps all the other big names airports, Atlanta, LaGuardia, etc. I prefer the smoother performance the new update brings.

I went over to Jeffrey's site, and indeed, it looks like this is a pretty significant game changer for performance.  Looks like I'll have to live without my DD stuff for a while.

Interestingly, and on a related note, I saw that Pete Dowson has also been moving a lot of the Simconnect interaction that FSUIPC had with P3D over to the new PDK interface, also reducing simconnect saturation.

Happy days...

Yes, and excellent this is or has been addressed ... PDK is the better way but requires more work on the developer side but when done correctly should "smooth" out ones FPS.

Hopefully DD will update to latest SODE usage.

I didn't know SODE had a donate option, done!

Cheers, Rob.
