April 26, 20188 yr We all know its going to be a new Flight Simulator from PMDG which will include the 757/767 and the MD-11 v2!!!! I would be very surprised if it is anything else lol Peter Graves Kalgoorlie, WA
April 26, 20188 yr Is this event something like Comic Con for flight sim nerds? By the way, if I could go, just getting there from Melbourne (Australia) would cost me $2,338 (AUD) with Qantas. That's not including accommodation, food, transport, etc. Wish I could go find out what is coming for our little computer game hobby. Never been to something like this. April 26, 20188 yr I have got it.....an environment for PMDG products to run on any simulator independently..P3D, Xplane, etc just by running the equivalent of a Virtual Machine to control all the Physics and presentation. Harry Woodrow

I was wondering this. In 2008 there was huge uncertainty and this could very well have been a bet hedging tactic that never needed to be launched in the end. Seems pertinent once again - XP development from PMDG has slowed/stalled, FSW closes, P3D will forever have a question mark over it due to LM being the licensor and the restricted EULA... And PMDG slapping presumably large amounts down on their fixed base sim centre, seems sensible to protect that investment by gaining some platform independence! April 26, 20188 yr My guess for the announcement is for an implementation of CPDLC. It has been a big hole in the flight sim products for a long time. I can always just live in hope🤣 Cheers, Richard Intel Core i7-7700K @ 4.2 GHz, 16 GB memory, 1 TB SSD, GTX 1080 Ti, 28" 4K display Win10-64, P3Dv5, PMDG 748 & 777, Milviz KA350i, ASP3D, vPilot, Navigraph, PFPX, ChasePlane, Orbx

Hoping this announcement is the cockpit builders edition, but I'm sure I'll be thrilled with whatever it is. Bring it on! April 26, 20188 yr I must admit, I am quite surprised. I have learnt English at school yeeears ago and my speaking of it has suffered. But I love to read books in english and normally have no problems to understand everything on the internet. Except from Robert Randazzo‘s announcements. In repeating reliability he uses a minimum of 2 words in each sentence that I have to look-up in the dictionary. When I read the FSW closure statement, I guess I had to google every second word. But this time... nothing. Robert what‘s up? Did you want do make sure that everyone‘s going nuts about that secret project? I‘m in, believe that! 😱 With or without the Dakota. 😁 ,
April 26, 20188 yr I hope the new product line will be affordable for a pensioner on limited income. Michael A. Jones
April 26, 20188 yr A new flight simulator could be the case as a new team (maybe some from Microsoft) went over, PMDG had the money. So a "new" team in the background worked on this. After some significant changes in the game industrie and new technologies, the development has been delayed due to changes. Now its ready: PMDG Flight Simulator 😄 Regards, TimmV1 Simulations | SimAware
April 26, 20188 yr Dam!!!! I fly home from Las Vegas a few days before the show, just my luck to miss it☹️ Tony Simpson FLYING FROM EGKK, The worlds busiest single runway Airport.

Nice prediction! What about a simulator inside the simulator? I mean crash/icing/physics etc simulator inside the p3d,xplane I dont think that would be a CPDLC at this time.Swift vatsim client is not finished yet. April 26, 20188 yr looking forward to the announcement of the new PMDG 787-8910 product line! Not giving up hope until the end even though the words on the announcement just made it unlikely that it is an aircraft 🤣 This will be a long wait until the announcement!
